Pulling into Keiss we saw a dilapidated sign for the hotel which made a poor first impression. This was reinforced by the shabby reception area and the lady who took us in looking like she wanted to be anywhere else. The room was clean but poorly laid out, the TV was at right angles to the bed, but that was...

On arrival the building was of poor appearance. We were greated by the friendly owner and shown to our basic but clean room. We shared a bathroom and loo I found difficult in the night to go out of the room quietly so as to not disturb others. I found the bed uncomfortable but everyone's preferences are different. Good wifi...

What a superb hotel, we were pleasantly surprised with the room and facilities and the Hosts were very helpful and friendly; Our breakfast was superb too. Very handy for visiting John 'O' Groats and surrounding areas. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone, we would return again in a heartbeat.

I stayed in a family room and it was very warm and welcoming. Having a back problem was worried how I'd sleep but I had a very comfortable nights sleep. The room had tea & coffee facilities which was great with the children. The breakfast was fantastic value for money as the size was very generous. We also ate our...

This is not the first time we've stayed at the Sinclair Bay Hotel and as always the room was clean, tidy and comfortable to stay in. I require my food to be gluten free so I always request this whenever I stay. This has never been a problem for the owner and she has also been able to make the...

Room was not ensuite ,bin was not emptied regularly, shared bathroom was cleaned occasionally. Unfortunately I was there 11 nights on business. Food was acceptable and decent size portions. All in all placed needed some TLC. Ensuite room was £120 + £5 for a cooked breakfast - McKay's in Wick was £89 the next week.

Thought we'd try going to this place for a meal so we showed up at 7.30pm on a Sunday. When we got there the place was completely abandoned except for a family sitting there having a meal; we tried ringing reception but no one came. Finally found someone out back smoking who said the chef wasn't there and didn't tell...
