One of our party had stopped here before and recommended we stayed here on our trip to Scotland for the NC500. I was a bit of a tag onto the trip and rand a spoke to Louise direct. She said she hadn’t planned on opening for another couple of weeks. The house is in a remote location but right on the road. The whole place is absolutely spotless and the welcome we received was spot on. As soon as we arrived we were offered a pot of tea which was welcomed after a long day. As we were up there on motorbikes we asked if there was a chance of doing us an evening meal. Louise agreed and did a fantastic cottage pie with veg and salad We all had a good nights sleep and as it has been mentioned. The breakfast. Oh my god! What a breakfast. It must be one of the best I have ever had. Pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurt and a lovely full English washed down with plenty of orange juice and fresh coffee. If you’re thinking of doing the NC500 or visiting John O’Groats try and books in with Louise. Excellent is all I can say. Thanks Louise.

Andy Wow! Thank you for taking the time to leave such a great review, and I'm just delighted you enjoyed your breakfast. It was my pleasure to host for yourself and your companions, three perfect Gentlemen and great house guests. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay and that you had lovely weather on your departure, hope it stayed dry for the next leg of your journey. Hope you weren't too sore at the end and managed to get a good rest. You will be most welcome here should you travel this way again. Haste ye back and bring the family. Take care.

Many thanks to Louise for being the perfect host and bar tender. In these strange times it was much appreciated to be offered a drink as we settled down for the evening in a lovely twin room. And as for breakfast, it was amazing, so lovely to be offered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs along with fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, pastries, toast- it kept us going until the evening. The perfect end to our NC500 trip🍹🍹

My partner and I stayed here for one night during our NC500 trip and we wish we stayed longer for the breakfast alone! The room was spotlessly clean, so comfortable and had an amazing view over the fields and the sea. Louise gave us a friendly welcome and was an incredible host. The bed was so comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I've had in months. Now the breakfast - it was absolutely incredible. I had emailed Louise to let her know that I was vegetarian and she went above and beyond to organise a delicious vegetarian breakfast. My partner has stated multiple times that this was the best breakfast he has ever had. We cannot recommend this B&B highly enough and we would 100% stay again if we ever drive the NC500 again.

Wow! Nicola thank you so much for the review, not sure what to say, thank you seems inadequate. I really enjoyed cooking something a little different for you, and I was just so delighted when all that was left was empty plates. You were the perfect house guests and such a lovely couple, please come back and stay longer if ever you pass this way again.

So glad we booked into Horseshoe Croft on our journey. The owner Louise is a lovely friendly person who just wants to make sure you have a lovely stay which we certainly did. We stayed in the upstairs room which is beautiful and with stunning views across open fields to the coast. There is a circular staircase to the room so if you have mobility problems look at the downstairs rooms. We loved it.

This B&B could not have been any better. Louise was extremely welcoming and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed. We arrived slightly later than planned and got a little bit lost on the way (don’t go off the main road - follow the instructions given by Louise and not the sat nav!) but Louise stood and waited for us outside in the rain to make sure we got there safely. She then made a reservation for us at the nearest restaurant so we could get some food before they closed. Louise even carried our overpacked suitcases upstairs for us. The bedroom was a great size and was immaculately clean. The shower was powerful and hot and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was the best cooked breakfast we’ve had. We cannot rate this B&B highly enough and we recommend to anyone completing the NC500. We cannot believe Louise has only been hosting guests for a little over a year. We wish you the best of luck but if you carry on as you are, you won’t need it!
