Booked this little gem on dinner bed and breakfast option which was an absolute steal! Free carparking at rear, welcoming reception and our twin room was huge! Now the hotel is dated, old furniture, rooms, actual keys ;) but everything was clean and tidy and don't let the old feel put you off. The dinner was lovely we had pakora and the most tasty butter chicken which was lovely. The manager spoke to us at length and thought we were mad going swimming :) beds very comfortable and breakfast was amazing I don't think I've had a bigger cooked breakfast in my life it was delicious, all the staff were so attentive even when the restaurant was full of some hilarious people on a coach trip, I would recommend staying here if you see past the superficial dated elements it really was well worth every single penny and food and staff were brilliant

The hotel is in the centre of the town on a busy, noisy corner. It is very dated and tired. Breakfasts were OK but evening meals very poor. Overcooked meat, raw but warm vegetables and pasta the was incredibly spicy!!! Dinner was served in a really noisy bar along with a group of ill- mannered workers staying for a job. Breakfast in the morning was in a nice dining room and was good. I commend the young girl who served us.... the most polite and helpful of all the staff.

A convenient location for catching the ferry and easy to find. The room was clean and the shower was hot had good pressure. The shower dripped when turned off. There was no one at reception to greet us and we had to go looking for staff. The bed was only a 3/4 double and small. There was no stuffing in the pillows. The locks to the room are old and temperamental. The curtains were useless at shutting out light and didn’t close well. Breakfast service 8am till 10. Which was too late to eat before the morning ferry. However, because we had booked breakfast and couldn’t stay to eat it. The staff made us an excellent breakfast to go with yoghurt, banana, croissant and sandwiches and crisps as a packed lunch. This was much appreciated And tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was very quiet but we received a warm welcome on arrival. The room was absolutely fine for our stay. The room and bathroom were very clean with the only slight downside was the TV was very small.
