Stayed here for 1 night while touring round the north coast. Hotel has rooms for different budgets, I stayed in the cheap & cheerful room (en-suite) out of the main building. For the money it was excellent and would happily stay here again.

A very comfortable hotel to spend the night before getting on the ferry to the Islands. A well-organized reception sign-in for our group of 31 by friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were large and clean, the plumbing was actually modern!! with reliable showers and toilets. My bed was a bit soft for my aching back, so I was given...

This was a basic hotel but fine for our overnight stay. It was easy to find and the breakfast was nice as well as the surrounding area. We stayed in the rooms outside the main hotel and could park right outside. Walking distance from beach and town.

This hotel has a lovely bar area with pool tables and good choice of bar lunch/ evening meals. It would be nice to feel that as a local you felt as welcome as anyone else, we would have liked to have eaten in the area looking out on the beautiful Pentland Firth but it is closed off to everyone unless...

The Weigh Inn is a comfortable, mid-range hotel with beautiful sea-views and very pleasant rooms. The food is good for breakfast, but less inspiring for other meals. The whole place is very clean with the exception of the bar area. This is acceptable bar standard, but we were met with one particularly unpleasant barman who failed to advise us where...

Booked in a hurry as no other hotel available for miles around..... A two night stay that was a disaster from the words "your rooms are outside and to the right". Entering my room was like stepping back to the 80's and I think whoever had been in it before me had smoked 80 cigs before they left. The smell...

We had rooms in the annex and they were perfectly adequate and clean. A comfy bed. Bar snack in the hotel was good as was breakfast and a stunning sea view. Reception staff very helpful and arranged early morning taxi. Great for an overnight stay.

Stayed here 3 nights for a business visit. The rooms are large and clean enough, but could use some refreshing. The fruit in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. If you like fish, I recommend the smoked haddock and kippers meals. While here, I attended a function in the banquet room. The meal was truly outstanding. I...

Check in staff cordial, but poor service in bar and breakfast areas. Appallingly dated, battered and dingy eating areas - bar tables felt sticky, food was poor and breakfast server sat and assembled flatware bundles, leaving a gruesome stack of dirty dishes on a filthy cart right by our table (just disgusting). One of the locals told us where the...

Beds should have been replaced 10 years ago, room including cups & saucers dirty, fresh fruit in the room almost a plus except that the orange was rotten. Don't have fish in the restaurant. I asked the guy behind the bar if the fish was fresh. He lied. Plus point, the wifi is good. Bad at any price.
