I would like to say a big thank you to the lovely lady at the reception. This turned out to be a last minute booking due to work. The booking was made at 7pm and it was a 5hr drive the lady waited up until 1am for me to arrive. Room was very clean nice towels and bedding Breakfast was 2 pouched eggs sausage and beans with toast this was my choice they did have plenty other food on offer. breakfast was served very fast 2 young men serving very polite and attentive I would highly recommend this hotel I could not fault it it’s also very well priced
I booked my night at the station hotel with around 72 hours notice, which was fine and the hotel had vacancies. The hotel itself in the dining area is very pleasant, the high ceilings and decor made breakfast and tea a very nice experience. There was a 1 way system through the hotel due to covid and sanitisation points on entry and at various other points. The room I had been given was Room 33, a chalet room, which was located in the car park to the back of the building. The room was fairly modern, had a phone, ironing board, bath/shower and flat screen TV. The room would be ideal for anyone with lots of bags, or like me on my trip around Scotland, had everything chucked in the car. The room was warm once the radiator was turned up. The hotel has a car park, a bar and is good walking to the beach, 10/15 minutes or so at a leisurely pace. There was also on street parking if required. The staff were very friendly and accommodating at the hotel, asking if the room was ok at tea, making the stay very accommodating. I would stay here again.…
On a 3 day visit to Thurso we had dinner on 2 nights at the Station Hotel. We had not been there before and enjoyed our meal on the first night so much that we decided to return on our final night. On both occasions we were delighted with the service, and the quality of the food. We will certainly visit again when we are back in the area
An excellent hotel on the NC500 easy to find on the main road. Plenty of parking and if staying in the motel section right outside you door. A comfortable room with all required toiletries and facilities. The restaurant was excellent with a good choice of food from the menu or specials boards. A large breakfast with an excellent choice in the morning. Very friendly staff following all covid rules, felt really safe.
We stayed at this hotel last night. When we first saw the room we were wondering if it would be up to standard. But to our utter amazement once over the threshold we were faced with a huge beautiful bedroom, and a classy bathroom. The room was extremely clean as was the bathroom. The WiFi was super and a large screen was in the sitting area of the bedroom. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff and owner extremely pleasant & helpful. Would strongly recommend this hotel
