All traits I like in a woman, but not in a breakfast. 40 mins to get served, sausage was undercooked, table was slimey, had to grab milk from another table, and there was a hair in the mushrooms. On a positive it had a nice shower.

Stayed here 9th July 2016 whilst on the 500 North Coast tour. Room very disappointing. In much need of a makeover and a clean as the top of the door was thick with dust. No staff on reception evenings or mornings so couldn't complain. My husband had a beer in the bar but was very watery and disgusting. Will not... More

I came to the Holborn Hotel with my family, we were looking forward to a nice meal out. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the food we received. Almost £5 for 2 haggis balls and some mashed potato when you can get a full plate on nachos for almost the same price. Then for our mains one family member ordered... More

Ate here with my family for lunch. Place was dead, lunch was basic tuna on my panini was too wet, my son had a milkshake and it was tiny and cost £1.50 and was basically crusha, didn't even put a straw in it for him. Person who served us was extremely dry and barely smiled.

We stayed one night at the Holborn hotel whilst travelling back to Orkney after a holiday. We arrived at 10pm after a very long train journey and were greeted by a friendly and efficient young man. We stayed in the annexe which was perfectly suited to our needs with two bedrooms and a bathroom accessed through a private door. Having... More

The service is a joke never seen such a sour faced depressed service staff she just grunted and give dirty looks at us and customers It made me and my girlfriend feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable Prices are way overpriced for the food and drink feel like I have been mugged to some degree food is good but the major... It doesn't look special from the outside and maybe is not the first place to find when driving thru Thurso, but we had a really pleasant stay. It has been the most expensive room, we had on our trip, but the super quality of the breakfast and the hospitality of the people made up for this. Always important: The rooms... More

From check in to check out all staff were really nice and friendly, special thanks to manageress, and Ginnie in the bar. In the morning there was a self service selection of juices, fruit & cereals and the waitress took your order for the cooked breakfast of your choice. Dinner was lovely, highly recommend the fish in breadcrumbs. I have... More

Booked this on line and was more expensive than the B&B's we had stayed in. Room was OK if a bit worn and oldish. Major let down was a barely warm shower in the morning. Breakfast was OK, served by a chirpy chef.

Stayed 2 nights. Room on top floor, sloping ceiling and small en-suite, all of which worked OK and was clean and tidy, but not hugely luxurious; view over rooftops only. Wifi was patchy - when it worked, OK. No lift - would be a problem for someone with limited mobility. Breakfast normal fare, cooked to order, but service slow even... More
