2 night stay here with 10 others. Handy for Aviemore and the pub next door. 6 person bunk room with only one toilet and shower room was not found to be very practical. One room had a fan in the bathroom which stayed on ages, whilst in the other room the fan didn't work. Noise from the pub next door went... More

No sitting room. Uncomfortable but adequate kitchen facilities. Fairly inexpensive. Apparently the noise issue is written in the terms and conditions so that's okay then, because we all read those thoroughly don't we? The noise was from every sector of the place- Clanking pipes next to our heads, very thin walls so lots of talking heard and paper thin floors... More

Two nights spent at the Aviemore bunkhouse when we were on a stag weekend. Although I've stayed here before this is the first time I've been part of a group taking over the building which is a good idea. As usual the building is clean tidy and welcoming. Whether it's the whole building or just a room I'd defiantly recommend... More

19£ for a 6 bed dorm, without a community room or breakfast. The kitchen is alright although uncomfortable. Next time I'd rather spend some more money and enjoy my stay in an atmosphere that doesn't confine you to either your bed or a wooden bench in the kitchen.

Very expensive for the facilities provided (or lack of). Uncomfortably beds and indifferent staff. Not good. Worst thing was the attitude of the staff which wasn't very nice. Also the showers were bad.

Spending a weekend in Aviemore from climbing and hiking in the Cairngorms was amazing but having this wee gem made the weekend complete. Very well priced, very clean and filled with everything you need to do your own cooking and lunch prep. The beds were comfortable and every thing you needed after a long day of hiking and climbing. There... More

I stayed here in February when the Aviemore is absolutely heaving with skiers, snowboarders, climbers and walkers. For £19 a night, the bunkhouse was absolutely fine. The six bed dorm I stayed in was an alright size for the number of people and the beds were pretty comfortable. Unlike some of the previous posters, I thought the level of cleanliness... More

The room was advertised as a "Twin Room" which would lead one to expect two single beds, appropriate for a couple. What was provided was two bunk beds which when compared to comparatively priced rooms elsewhere, falls massively below what was expected. Additionally, for mid January heating was a real issue. There was no radiator and we had to resort... More

On our travels we have often stopped off for a drink at The Old Bridge Inn but never stayed, so when we knew we were walking Ben Macdui we opted to stay. The Old Bridge Inn and Bunkhouse in Aviemore was a welcome retreat after a few days on the hills with warm welcome upon our arrival. The bunkhouse is... More

The Bunkhouse is adjoined to The Old Bridge Inn. It's a comfortable hostel type property with basic rooms. The rooms are clean and good to lay your head down after participating in a day of local activities or walks. It is located in a quite area of Aviemore and sits next to the River Spey. There are lovely walks from... More
