the location is pleasant with trees around the park, walking distance from the village but quiet at night. the chalet is clean and comfortable. i dont like having to pay extra for electricity, although it wasnt much, i couldnt help but worry i would run out! i was surprised that washing up liquid was not provided and i would have... Stayed overnight with a campervan costing £28 for th night with electric hook up . We were next to a busy road and the other campers are quite close together the toilet and shower block was clean and had hot water but was quite a distance away . There was no facility to empty waste water. I would not stay... More

I have stayed in lots of places in Aviemore, these chalets are basic,or the one we stayed in was,it smelt damp on arrival, extra for electricity, very dated with a sofa you fell through! Not comfortable at all, television channels were excellent ,but we were out most of the weekend, the place is clean and beds comfortable, lots of utensils.I would probably stay else where next time.

We stayed as a family for two nights (wish it had been longer). The chalets are modern, really well kitted out and obviously looked after. We stay in a variety of accommodation on different trips and this is easily one of the best of this type. Great location at the end of the village only a short walk to the... More

A group of 3 of us stayed in the Larig Ghru chalet last week from Monday to Thursday and had an excellent stay. I arrived before my friends at 1pm, check in time is usually 4pm but the chalet was already ready so I could leave my bags and go walking. I didn't buy any electricity because I decided we... More

Had out first camping trip here and thought the site was great. Individual pitches are a good size, we have a 6 man tent and there was plenty of room. WARNING: you'll need extra strong tent legs as the pitches are compacted ground and normal tent pegs aren't strong enough to drive in. Thankfully Reception will let you have a... More

The rooms are very modern what with the motel being built only recently. Great staff who know the complete area. Eat at the taverna just round the corner, it's owned by the Vastano family, they do great meals and amazing pizzas.

Spent 2 nights here with my sons whilst we explored the local area, we checked in with no problems at all and were clearly directed to our pitch. Now word of warning...the ground is very hard and you will need the extra strong pegs if you are camping but the website does say that when you go to book. The... More

Parking in Aviemore is not so good. The Italian Restaurant on site was ok, very busy, but wine expensive. A good atmosphere plenty of people about. Eating out... More

Stopped for the night, not for the first time we have visited and like before found it very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stop again. No restaurant available for breakfast but plenty in Aviemore village.
