It was my third stay at Claremont House in August this year. Again it was like coming home and visiting an old friend when Tom welcomed me with fresh tea and croissants on my arrival. During my whole stay (11 nights) he always made sure I felt absolutely comfortable. Every morning he and his lovely house keeper Christine served an... More

Twice we've visited Claremont, often booked in a hurry to ensure we make a hospital appointment. Tom could not have been more helpful in making an en suite available, directing us to local restaurants, and generally help get out bearings in this large city. Nicely appointed in a leafy part of Glasgow, we will be sure to come again! Jo... More

Very quiet location but only 20 mins walk from city centre. Lovely house, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Tom is a great host, very welcoming and full of useful suggestions. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Excellent value for money

This is not like any other B and B you will have visited. The quality of the accommodation is exceptional. The carpets are all deep pile - superbly clean and of high quality. The rooms are all very clean. The towels are so deep, fluffy and heavy in weight. The decor is sympathetic with the period of the house. The... More

This place felt like home, it was raining and dark when we arrived and we were pretty exhausted. We were given a warm welcome by the owner who is a wonderful chap. This place is perfectly located and we really enjoyed chatting to the other travellers at breakfast in the morning!

We looked into some of the more well known Inns/Lodges, but were so glad that we choose this venue. Tom makes a fantastic host, the breakfast was great and the bedrooms and house are far superior to those other places. We did walk from the Glasgow Central Station and its a good 30 mins. but if your fit, its an... More

I can easily say this is the best accommodation I've been in my travels so far. There are people that simply were born to be hosts and Tom is definitely one of them! I stayed in the ensuite double room at the ground floor (even if I was travelling solo) for 4 nights. The quality/price ratio is excellent: the room... More

I stayed at the Claremont for 2 nights back in November, whilst attending a conference, and was made to feel very welcome. I was greeted with a cup of tea. Tom was very helpful and offered great advice on how to get about Glasgow with value for money in mind. He was very proud to introduce me to local restaurants... More

We spent 4 nights at Tom's and had a great stay. Tom was warm, welcoming and very, very knowledgeable about Glasgow. From an early morning cup of tea or coffee to a late night toast after a day tour, Tom always made sure, we were very comfortable.
