We only stayed the one night as we passed through Glasgow. Breakfast was included in the price and it was tasty. Our room was directly behind the reception desk so it was very loud and we could here the phone ringing, staff conversations and guests coming in and out all night. The room itself was comfortable and clean, I would... More

Some rooms require updating but the location and price can't be beaten. We have stayed three times. Staff could be happier but apart from that can't fault the price. Some rooms are dated but you get what paid for. ❤️

As a traveller looking for somewhere to rest my head, most of the following didn't bother me. But if you're gonna spend a lot of time in your hotel, look elsewhere. 1) Very handy for closeness to city centre and Sauchiehall Street in particular. This does mean though, that at weekends the streets around the hotel get very noisy/rowdy. 2)... More

Had a pleasant stay here when spending the night in Glasgow for a gig. It was less than a 5 minute walk away from the venue (02 abc) so it saves money on taxis/getting lost if your unfamiliar with the area. It is also right off Sauchihall Street which would be good if you were looking for somewhere to stay... More

You do get what you pay for! Location in terms of proximity to city centre is very good however location in terms of grotty alleyway, behind it on the way to parking car/view from our room window, was poor. Receptionists were friendly. Room was very small and basic and sort of dated but can't put my finger on why. Powershower... More

I am not one normally for writing reviews but I have made an exception this time. Firstly the decor of the hotel is VERY red (extremely red) which when you are planning on having a relaxing trip away it is not calming. There was a nice red lamp also covering a burnt hole in the head board. Every time you... More

Nice roomy accommodation. very helpful friendly staff. Good choice of breakfasts and cooked freshly each morning. The hotel is well situated for shopping, theatres and dining out. The only slight niggle was that the front rooms were slightly noisy from passing traffic.

Newton hotel is very central to all the amenities in Glasgow, two minutes walk from top end of Sauchiehall Street. Hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly, breakfast selection was very good and tasty. On my arrival I took ill with an asthma attack John Collins the night receptionist could not have been more helpful swiftly changing our... More

Great wee hotel, best price by a country mile when I booked. Room was nice, bed was comfortable and place was generally clean. Only downside was the shower which was a bit inconsistent in temperature but liveable.
