Not very clean in places a very modern bathroom but let down by a stale smell . The room could have done with a deep clean there was dust all over things and cob webs hanging from celling which was a shame as room was nice enough for our one night stay .

We used the Ivory because it was close to a wedding we were attending nearby. Facilities are poor, no wifi in room. Breakfast was expensive for what was served. Room was not very clean. Window sills were dirty. Lots of loud music from bar on Saturday night until early Sunday morning. Staff were not engaging.premer in. Would have been better... More

Under £12 for a 2 course so good value. Disappointed that they didn't do baked potatoes but the boiled small potato's were just fine. Diet not broken. Friend had the mussels which seemed to be very popular. Pate was a red pepper mousse which wasn't to my taste but it didn't go to waste. Overall would recommend and will be... More

I bit noisy room and WLAN was not working. Staff is very friendly. There is lot of traffic in the road next to the hotel. I didn't eat at the hotel so I don't know how's the food. Anyway, I liked the place and would go again.

I visited the Ivory for lunch with two friends on Saturday 2nd July and wasn't disappointed. Two courses for £11.95 represented excellent value for money based on what I experienced. To start, I opted for the carrot and coriander soup - a good size, served piping hot and with two slices of warm crusty bread and butter. For my main,... More

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a weeding. Our double room was actually for 4 - two double beds - so tons of room, not noisy. The hotel is opposite Queen's Park which is a lovely place. The food was very good - service very friendly and efficient. We'd go there to eat even if we weren't staying there,... More

Members of my family have been using the Ivory for years for similar visits. My sister and I booked rooms this time for a family birthday as we've done before. We can book good quality, clean rooms and have a local base in the same hotel for our get-togethers. The rooms this time had recently been refurbished and a few... More
