Having stayed here before I knew what to expect, but I love this hotel, great value, rooms are small but functional, bed is great, love the shower, plenty storage space, like many hotels could do with more power sockets but not a deal breaker. Staff very friendly and helpful, superb breakfast, staff again most helpful . The hotel is surrounded by big expensive hotels but I prefer the Campanile, I will certainly stay here again, it ticks all the boxes I need in a hotel.

Hotel uses a coyboy company to issue fines to customers using the shared car park with nearby restaurants. The charge excessive fines, by law the UK sets a limit of £70 for fines with 50% off if paid within 14 days. This company charge £100 with a charge of £60 if paid within 14 days. The most you should ever have to pay within 14 days of reviving a fine is £35, a charge by the police is capped at £30!!. Really puts me off of places when they use scam companies to over charge or seek money from people. If you are reading this review and are considering staying at this hotel, as a local to glasgow there as far far nicer places to stay in the city centre and central to all of our bars and restaurants. Please look at the Radisson Red which is right next to this hotel it has really good rates and is a massive step up from this hotel.

Thank you for the feedback, just to clarify there are 2 car parks, both privately owned. One is the hotels which we manage onsite at the hotel it has limited spaces so its first come I am afraid, this is Free of Charge to hotel guests if you park here. The area is clearly marked and there is signage all around our car park on arrival we ask you to entre your details in to the Screen to confirm you are parked in our car park. The other is the Rotunda's we have NO control over the Rotunda's Restaurant Complex and if a tickets has been issued by there car park company for parking or staying over the allowed time to pass through there car park. Again there is signage about parking and the charges if you decide to park in this area. My apologises if you had a bad experience with parking.

We stayed there for the Madness concert at the Hydro in Glasgow. There are other major hotels in the surrounding area - Crowne Plazza, Hilton Garden, The Courtyard and Raddison Red - and I'm afraid the Campanile Hotel is very much the poor relations. Our room was small and rather cramped; there were unsightly marks on the radiator and a significant draught coming from the window frame which appeared to be damaged. Breakfast was self-service and the quality of the food was standard at best. The girl at the entrance to the dining area appeared to be more interested in using her mobile phone than dealing with guests waiting to be seated. Some of the staff may also like to learn how to use a face mask properly. The experience was little better than what you might get at a standard Travleodge - for about £100 less...

Perfect for us three girls, so reasonable for a one night stay including breakfast. Superb location for gig at the hydro or around that location. Lovely guy at reception too. Great stopover for concert night 😍

Stayed 1 night for a concert which had actually been cancelled earlier in the day however decided to make the most of it and had a night out in Glasgow (we had travelled from Dundee. Check in was chaotic. Arrived at 4pm to be told that room was not ready (it states you can check in from 2pm but we decided to go for lunch first), in fact everyone who was checking in did not have a room ready. We were told we could have a twin room to sit in whilst the room was ready which makes no sense as the room would have to be sealed off again when we moved due to Covid?? The couple in front of us had just cancelled their booking as they were to be at the same concert and had decided to go home and offered us their room as they had only walked in put bags down and then ended up checking out when they discovered concert had been cancelled but reception said this could not be done as the room would need to be cleaned, hence why I cant understand why they would put us in a twin room whilst we waited on our double room to be ready. We chose to sit in the bar whilst room was being dealt with, we ordered some drinks and have to say they were not particularly refreshing. Husbands beer was not exactly cold and my pink gin had no ice (no ice in hotel) and the lemonade was room temperature and then after finishing drink had me running to the toilet within 10 mins! The restaurant was closed but we went into the centre for food and we did not pay or stay for breakfast. Bed was not comfy at all and I did not sleep very well that night husband also said bed was not great. The room (308) was clean but when I went to close the window I noticed that the handle was sticky and covered in thick grime, upon check out I did let reception know but they didn’t seem interested.
