Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow garners frequent commendation for its service, with staff often described as friendly and efficient. While the hotel's amenities, such as its prime location near Buchanan Street and transport links, earn praise, some guests have noted the inconvenience of renovations and closed facilities. The atmosphere is generally considered modern and stylish, yet noise issues have been mentioned. The cleanliness of the hotel, specifically the updated rooms, is well-regarded, although there are reports of dated accommodations. Despite the spacious and refurbished rooms, opinions on value suggest that some guests find the pricing steep relative to the experience offered.

Had a wonderful stay. Staff were fantastic. Lovely room and facilities were great. Especially liked the little extras including complimentary coffee in the morning before heading to the airport. They also helped me out when I’d forgot my phone charger which really went above for me!

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed for one night. The hotel can be accessed via the airport bus, the bus stops about 5mins walk from the hotel. When you enter the hotel the lobby is huge and modern. To the left is the bar and restaurant and the right has the lifts and entrance to the leisure facility which is a private leisure club connected to the hotel, we did not use it but it looks nice. The bar and restaurant looked nice too but again we did not use those. There is a NCP car park nearby which I believe the hotel has a discount for. The reception were very helpful, we were early so left our bags until check in. Check in was easy, we had a twin room on the 2nd floor. The lifts only take you to the floor you select, something to be aware of. The room was very spacious and modern, it had a floor to ceiling window which on our side overlooked the back of the central station. There was a huge desk area, water for Radisson Rewards members, a safe, iron and huge wardrobe. The bathroom was nice but not that big. Nearby there are a lot of bars and restaurants, up the high street which in under the bridge, opposite is a pub and co-op and about 5mins walk away is the river. There is a bus stop right by the hotel and the nearest metro stop is only a few mins walk away. We stayed using points and money so unsure of the pricing for a normal stay. Overall a great hotel in a great locatrion,

Firstly all the staff are fantastic we are regular guests at radison hotels and there’s been alot of changes and not for the best we stay in these hotels approximately 6/7 times per year this visit it was very clear on money saving tactics making the rooms no better than budget we stay in suites premier and standard so I know the difference between each we stayed standard this time and all the little things that set this hotel apart from premier inn have gone no vanity kits no shower caps the body wash was watered down in both rooms one room it literally was just water but the rooms have been refurbished and do look nice just missing all the little things that made it special! Breakfast also they’ve gone the same way as the London hotels charging extra for pancakes when you have a member of family who will only eat pancakes it makes it a very expensive meal 3 pancakes cost £23 wish I knew that change before paying for breakfast

I arrived just before 8.00pm for an overnight stay; a particularly nice fellow checked me in to a great room on the sixth floor and there was a plate of delicious treats waiting! After unpacking a few things I decided to have a drink or two at the Bar. This bar is always a great spot with an atmosphere I would describe as almost festive. I was so happy to see Dominick again and I knew he would make a superb gin and tonic. The other staff were also friendly and helpful, of course. As time went on, I thought two(2) G&T's would be more sensible than just one for the evening. After a good night's sleep I went down for Breakfast, buffet style with a wide range of both fresh produce and cooked dishes. I recognised the faces of some of the staff who are still welcoming, conscientious and attentive…..and who bring the pot of coffee I was so looking forward to drinking. Erin blends in as she capably moves around the restaurant ensuring staff and guests alike are enjoying their time. For me though, this breakfast proved to be just what I needed before the long flights back home.

Stay reservation - 2XBB553S Unfortunately I can't say it was an enjoyable stay. The room had twin beds that were pushed together which is normally OK --- but not when the zipper is completely broken. When I tried to move close to my girlfriend I fell through the gap in the middle!!!! It happened very late and we had settled for the night so didn't have the energy to change rooms. It was a massive buzz kill and ruined the stay. the fault so bad it was 100% irrecoverable and also terrible since it would have been so obvious to cleaning staff so to allow this is so sad. We couldn't be close because the gap between the beds was so big!! On top of this the TV didn't work so that was disappointing as well. The shower gel was also empty, or maybe 95% finished, so I had to get that replaced. Another negative is the lifts were very confusing. It's a random number system outside the lift which is so tricky to understand. All in all I paid £127 for one night stay and although the staff are amazing and accommodating it's the small details that let this place down in a big way. I'd suggest going elsewhere for a more comfortable stay. It's sad to say but I won't go back. Far too many negatives and I feel like I can find nicer places for the same price.

The staff made this experience the best. Most hotels in this price range have similar rooms, cleanliness and comfort - but what makes this hotel better, is the willingness and helpfulness of the staff to help us in ordering taxis, helping us with restaurant choices etc

I had a great stay, hotel was clean, rooms were spacious and location is great! I think the lifts need better signage in terms of which lift can take you to which floor. I got stuck in lift C for around 10 minutes by myself I pressed both buttons in the lift several times and the doors would not open, I then started pressing the alarm button and again nothing happened. I had no mobile phone on me so no way to contact anyone, luckily I managed to get the attention of another guest who was using lift A by waving my arms around. Reception were then alerted however I don’t feel like they handled the situation well, they opened the doors and did not even ask me if I was okay or give me any sort of explanation as to why that would of happened. I was really disappointed.
