The bed was hard, the room was small, the internet worked only sparingly, and the shower's hot water worked only sparingly. The breakfast was good, the staff was polite, and the location was great! The next time I go to Glasgow I will plan to find someplace else.

Where to begin? We had a nightmare! Small issues first: The "double bed" was just too small for two adults. The location was dirty and very, very noisy. Very difficult to get bags up to the room. No help offered. I would not recommend parking anywhere near this location. Serious complaint: On the second night of our stay at around... More

I didn't really expect much from the hotel, considering the price and the location I really thought it would be below average. How wrong I was. The hotel is old but currently under renovation and if all rooms are going to be the standard of the room I and my friend stayed in - you can count yourself lucky! It's... More

Note that there are some interior rooms in this guest house with NO windows to the external, only a mechanical ventilation that smells of cigarettes - likely to be some old storage room converted. The receptionist tried to explain how it is legally "a ventilated room" and that due to a fully booked weekend he could not change the room,... More

Adequate with comfortable beds. Rooms look a little run down though. Wifi was awesome. Good cooked Scottish breakfast. The steep hill (more than 45 degrees) that you have to climb to get to the guesthouse is a pain. You'll need to climb that as all buses and train stations are on the roads below it. The other con is our... More

First of all this accommodation has merged with the one next door "Alba lodge" so I would look at their website as well as it's possible you will end up in one of the rooms shown on their website. The staff here are friendly and helpful, the location is very good for the centre of Glasgow, the guest house itself... More

Stayed there for 3 days, it was nice and cosy. Good breakfast and nice room, large bed, heated room. Everything clean daily. It is very close to the city centre (Sauchiehall St.) and Buchanan Bus Stn which cand give you quick access to the airport. I really enjoyed the experience and definitely recommend this place.
