I had a confirmed and payed booking in place. Given all the covid issues, I sent an email to double check they were going to be open. They had opened some of there hotels (as they were allowed to) but chosen not to reopen this one yet. On further investigation, it was discovered that they were not closed due to covid, but because they had chosen to start a building project on top of bookings, and without even informing us of there cancellation. It looks like my insurer is going to attempt to charge them for the extra cost of getting a room at the last second. They could have told me months ago, but they kept me in the dark and my funds in their pockets. This is simply and totally unacceptable, and I will never be doing business with these people again. I have no idea of when or even if they were planning to let people know.…
This place has gone downhill. The patrons are nearly always drunk or high, hanging around outside terrorising passersby. The staff allow this...there is no security despite the violence and frequent ambulances arriving. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. One night here could easily be your last.
I'm quite surprised at the reivews for this place. I guess it used to be half decent at some point in the past but from the start of this year it's has been used predominantly as a hostel for homeless and drug addicts. It's now a hotspot for anti-social behaviour. I'm surprised that it's still listed for bookings as most people don't feel comfortable walking past never mind staying in it.
Booked this for 2 nights to visit a portly family member. Didn’t even enter the door. Junkies outside, an ambulance waiting outside. It’s a junkies hostel, please don’t book if your looking for a nice city centre hotel this is not it. Got to give it one star but seriously would be a minus. Horrific
Stayed in this hotel back in February.the staff where friendly but the hotel was full of drug addicts and prostitution.one day when going for breakfast there was someone urinating in the corridor. The only positive was the cooked breakfast.
