I've was staying at the hotel with my work whilst on a course. The double room was clean, modern and comfy. The hotel is in the city centre with lots of bars and restaurants close by. There is no noise or traffic directly around the hotel however which is good. The staff were great throughout my stay. As mentioned in the other reviews you check in at the bar area on arrival. The hotel has removed room telephones and if you want to contact reception you need to use whatsapp. Whilst this is fine for most there will undoubtedly be guests who either don't have/want to use whatsapp or perhaps have basic mobiles. The breakfast is really good with everything you could possibly want. I wouldn't reccomend the IBIS restaurant for evening meals though as the menu was basic/limited and the price was a little high.

First impressions, I turned up early to drop off my bag which was absolutely no problem at all; great start. Arriving back later check in was a breeze; very quick and efficient and in no time I was in my room. Travelling solo I was given a twin room which was perfect for my needs, with nice decor and a good sized ‘pod like’ bathroom with a good shower. Basic toiletries were supplied and the room included all the standard items you would expect such as hair dryer, tea and coffee along with a shortbread biscuit (well this is Scotland😀). Good storage, floor to ceiling mirror comfy bed, a writing desk and 2 USB sockets. The bar is nice and I had a plate of nachos which were delicious, great value too at £5.50. After a good nights sleep I went down for breakfast. I have to say it is well worth adding this if you can, it’s delicious and you have a great choice. Check out was simple and when I asked if I could leave my bag for the day it was no problem. The staff here are all very nice which is great; the hotel is good value for money especially with all the excellent competition in this sector in Glasgow. Will I return? Definitely; do I recommend it? Absolutely.

I arrived in Glasgow without a confirmed accommodation booking on a very busy Saturday. Impressed with the kindness I received from Novotel who stored my luggage and Ibis who were able to make a booking for only one night. The girls helped me find accommodation elsewhere for the rest of my visit. I had a big spotless room on 5th floor. Appreciated extra pillows. Note foyer can look chaotic when a bus load of people arrive. However staff were very efficient handling the luggage. This is a very convenient location walking distance to everywhere in city centre. Note currently the area is a construction site.

The room is so small that one can open suitcase only from outside the room. Most uncomfortable room, very hot and without AC, bathroom is too small and one just bumps in and around the room. Must check the size of the room. Two most uncomfortable night spent at the hotel. Breakfast is below average and staff were not very happy having our tour group.

Great hotel, great service. Cleaning is not something you have to request like in some hotels like at Travelodge... Here it is happening discretly and efficiently, most importantly it is not me who has to arrange it:) Any request I made was delat with professionally. The room was clean and organized, the hotel staff spoke english! I guess you have to travel outside of London to have this experience in a budget hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a 2 person shower which was a nice addition. Did not try the breakfast but the near by street is full with good food and entertainment anyway.
