Stayed here for daughter's graduation from Glasgow University. Nice location in West End. Very traditional. Furniture in room was a bit 70s. Wifi bit dodgy but ok in residents' lounge. Good breakfast served in room which was a nice touch. Would definitely return.

The hotel is in a great location very easy to walk into west end area however, it really isn't a hotel! Rooms are very dated however ours was clean but breakfast is a real disappointiment as it is not a full 'Scottish' breakfast it really is very basic & although it seemed a nice idea to have it in the... spent 2 days here saw the owner on arrival very welcoming and took me to my room and handed me my keys, did not see them again until I checked out, some people like in unobtrusive hospitality others may prefer a little more interaction. So this would be personal choice. The term hotel is a little misleading as this is... More

This lovely hotel was perfect for our short stay in Glasgow. The main plus being free parking.... Which for a city hotel is hard to find. We had breakfast twice in the hotel and to have it in are room was a treat!!! We are both very use to running about grabbing breakfast as we go so this was a... More

Great location! Close enough to all the action, but situated in an actual neighbor for a quiet authentic experience. Walking distance from bus stops, the botanical gardens and the happening Byers Road. You can also a take a quick cab ride to Byers Road if the walk is too long for kids and seniors. The rate was very reasonable and... More

Kirklee is a beautiful Edwardian house in a great location. Kensington Gate is so lovely and quiet with a beautiful but private residents garden in the centre of the crescent. The area around the hotel is very stylish. The restaurants on Byres Road and nearby sites such as the Botanic gardens and Kelvin Museum are within easy walking distance. The... More

Though there are many nice things about this B&B, if you plan to get a restful sleep from a comfortable room and bed, it's not likely. Our bed was so worn that the mattress springs were permanently bent from where people sat or laid. I had to switch to the extra single bed in the room, just to get enough... More

We were visiting Glasgow as part of a family reunion and stayed at the Kirklee as this was where the rest of our party had chose to stay. It was about £15 in an Uber from the airport although, we did find out that there is on street-parking right by the hotel absolutely free so great if we had driven.... More

II stayed one night for a business trip to the University of Glasgow. Really nice hotel, nice atmosphere, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again if I'll have the chance.

I arrived at about 7pm (£8 a taxi from the bus station to the hotel) and I was welcomed by the friendly owner – he already knew who I was as I was the last guest to arrive. My room was the one looking towards the street with the half-hexagonal window (forgot the number). The room: - Large, warm, cosy,... More
