We stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room is small but updated and very clean. The breakfast included things like cereal and toast but also hot food like eggs, sausage, bacon, haggis, and black pudding cooked to order. It was delicious! The location is also near many pubs and bistros.

Very welcoming hotel. Was in the process of being redecorated & all looks nice No lift - but I was only there a couple of nights so did not have heavy bags to carry. (the staircase is quite grand so at least that makes the hike up and down easy to bear). My single room was small but clean and... More

We were attending a Convention at the Hydro so the hotel is perfectly located, just a 10min walk. Friendly Staff. Basic but clean room. Our room was on the fourth floor, theres no lift but it is an old building so to be expected. Breakfast was served promptly and plenty of choice. Great Indian restaurant across the st. Would stay... Would love to give this Hotel a higher rating but it is very tired and needs a complete revamp throughout. Having said that, our stay was quite comfortable, despite the very long climb up to the top floor (there is no lift in this hotel) but needed the exercise anyway! The room was clean, bed was comfy but a very... More

Hotel is quite basic, rooms clean and spacious. Shower had no power at all just a wee dribble. Staff were very friendly and 24 manned reception was handy. Breakfast was again basic but tasty. Would possibly return for a cheap stay.

Simple basic hotel, but excellent location, well maintained and comfortable. There was a good breakfast, the room was small but perfectly adequate and the wifi worked well. What made the stay was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff..

The positives: We liked the server in the breakfast room. Some would interpret her as being gruff. Actually, she was great and had an awesome sense of humour. In addition, the breakfast was good and plentiful. Proximity to the SSE. The exceptional Indian restaurant kitty corner to the hotel. The reviews we had read prior to going there were right... More
