We stayed for one night to attend a concert at the Kelvingrove bandstand. It is very close to lots of West End pubs and restaurants and in a nice crescent, which you can park in and pay for a parking voucher at the hotel. Our room was basic but was clean and of a good size, with a bathroom which... More

The Sandyford Lodge Hotel--not to be confused with Sandyford Hotel around the corner--is in a great location away from the city center but still walking distance to many restaurants, Kelvingrove Park and University of Glasgow. The walk to the city center is 1+ mile, a good 20 minutes, or a slightly shorter bus ride. Our room faced the street (Royal... More

An absolutely ravishing hotel. Beautiful building, friendly, well-spoken staff, rooms clean and tastefully furnished. The breakfast was delicious. The only little minus is the location, you have to walk a while to come to the city centre. You can nevertheless take a bus as well.

The Sandyford Lodge in Royal Crescent is a good choice in a good location. Our room was spacious with a modernized bath and lots of electrical outlets. The full Scottish breakfast was generous and nicely prepared. There are many pubs and restaurants just two blocks away.

I was visiting Glasgow for a conference and booked this as it was the cheapest central room that had decent review. The man on reception was delightful and very helpful, he quickly checked me in, told me where my room was and lent me an iron, ironing board and cutlery for my takeaway dinner. The room (single with shared bathroom)... More

Sandy Ford Lodge, B&B, Glasgow: Stay Date 10th June to 13th June When we moved into this place, we were greeted by an ever smiling Mrs. Betsy, who happened to be the wife of one the partner. The most important fact is that they heeded to our request of having our rooms on the ground floor for easy movement for my... More

I recently visited Glasgow for a weekend away with my best friend. This hotel was lovely and the staff on reception and at breakfast were fantastic! would definitely stay again. Car parking was right outside the door and perfect location.

A friend and I were attending a concert in Kelvingrove and were looking for a nearby hotel for an overnight stay. Came across Sandyford Lodge on Booking.com and were delighted with our short stay. We had a family room, one double and one single bed. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The room was on the top floor and... More

This was a late booking. Booked 2 room's in this lodge. When we arrived the staff were very helpful advising us on parking and places to see. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the second room was the same, spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, showers excellent and had fresh smelling soap/body wash in the... More

If this place is cheaper than other places and the difference in price is worth it to you, stay here. It's fine. It's clean, very conveniently located to a hip part of town, tons of good food, and several museums, but it's nothing special either. Bit stale smelling and things are a bit threadbare. Breakfast is a bit underwhelming but... More
