Just back from a seven day break exploring Glasgow and visiting some new football grounds. Stayed at The Pipers' Tryst on the strength of reviews on this site and I was not disappointed. Excellent quality small hotel that gets everything right in terms of comfort and cleanliness with smart modern rooms. A city centre hotel - just 10 minutes walk... More

Centrally located, this little inn was perfectly comfortable, squeaky clean, friendly, and accommodating. It was lovely to be greeted with a wee dram of whisky. The continental breakfast was healthy and ideal for myself and my husband, but the other breakfast options looked tempting and reasonably priced. This little hotel was simple but beautifully executed. I wish we could have... More

In the centre of Glasgow, I did an overnight before getting the train to go south. This hotel has got it right for cleanliness, being personal, offering a very Scottish atmosphere. Breakfast for my stay was continental which included many extras than just a slice of toast, it was lovely snd set out very attractively. My room was huge and... More

We were welcomed with a wee dram of whisky and found our room was extremely comfortable. We had an excellent evening meal and for guests of the hotel there is a good discount on menu prices. All in all we can thoroughly recommend this hotel as a good place to stay in the heart of the city. Our only slight... More

I'd never visited Glasgow before May 2016, so I was delighted to have lucked into staying at The Pipers' Tryst. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our visit an additional night from our initial plans. It seemed imperative to visit the National Piping Centre, because, well, bagpipes and we were in Scotland. Bonus: there's a hotel and... More

I have stayed at the Piper's Tryst Hotel on two occasions. Both times, I have received the warmest welcome and hospitality on the part of the staff. They are very helpful should you ask for tips on where to dine etc. The rooms are clean and rather spacious, and the location is absolutely great - just a short walk to... More

We ate here when we last came to Glasgow, and were impressed with the food and staff. So we decided to stay this time. The staff were just as friendly and helpful, the room clean, and the bed comfortable. We ate dinner here again and the food was just as good as last time. The hotel had a problem with... More

How refreshing to stay in a lovely hotel in the heart of the city instead of the chain hotels with their corporate feel. The staff, the décor and the history of the Piper's Tryst make this a wonderful place to stay when enjoying the great city that is Glasgow. Continental breakfast was pitched perfectly to our needs. The restaurant menu... More

Lovely small hotel with great staff. Be aware that the bedrooms are small and there is no elevator available. That said, the staff is friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are small but adequate and nicely decorated. You are welcomed with a dram of good scotch. The food in the restaurant is excellent.
