We were so happy to have found Grasshoppers hotel for our Glasgow stay! Conveniently located adjacent to Glasgow Central train station - just head out to the Union Street exit, turn right, look up and you'll see the sign and entrance to Caledonia Chambers. Easy to find! Former office space converted to rooms - all aligned down two hallways with... More

What a little gem of a boutique hotel next to Central Station. Having used the lift to the sixth floor, we were pleasantly surprised to see cakes available as soon as you enter. Very modern, clean, warm and very welcoming. The receptionist was very helpful with plenty of ideas and places to visit. There was very little noise as we... More

Glad I ended my two weeks in Scotland with Glasgow … a real working-class town. After having seen the splendour of Edinburgh and the majestic Highlands, as well as a short stay on the beautiful Isle of Mull, it was great to get back to a thriving metropolis – complete with great architecture, museums and restaurants. At first, I was... More

We loved everything about the hotel. The breakfast had the best coffee we had on our trip to the UK and the hot and cold breakfast choices were great including the free range scrambled eggs and the muesli with fresh raspberries and currants. The room was very nice and we loved the sitting room/library. The staff were very friendly and... More

My sister and I stayed at Grasshoppers during our first trip to Glasgow, and I anticipate staying there on all future trips as well – it’s very easily become my go-to spot! Checking in was easy and we received a warm welcome – of course, the free cupcakes and homemade ice cream didn’t hurt either. The rooms are clean, bright,... More

Stayed for two nights in a well-furnished single room. Staff were attentive, and keen to let me know about the home baking and home made ice cream available for free. Always nice to get a wee treat. Ease of access to the city centre and transport links can't be ignored either. The hotel is part of the Union Street facade... More

Modern boutique hotel, conveniently located next to the Central Train Station. Superior service. Rooms are clean, comfortable. Cakes, Muffins, Homemade icecream, Hot tea were available throughout the stay. Nice common sitting room for hotel guests to use. All our needs were taken care of with a smile. Very helpful staff.

Hotel is confined to the 6th floor of a building adjacent to Central rail station. The woman at the desk/office was extremely nice and helpful. Gratis coffee, tea, cupcakes and ice cream available. Location was wonderful as long as you don't head south towards the river.

We loved this hotel from the moment we arrived. It's a little bit quirky, different from the mainstream. Great location and easy to find right next to Glasgow Central Railway Station. Rooms were clean and comfortable and very quiet for such a central location. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was amazing. Cakes and home made ice... More
