The room was great, clean and fresh, nice and large too. I didn't eat at the Hotel so can't comment on the food. Parking was a problem, its a small car park and you get charged 8GBS every time you take your car out so for a tourist, it is costly. Close to restaurants and pubs, the hotel is in a good location. There is a 1 way street in front of the Hotel and only once did Waze send me back to the hotel in the right direction. The lifts are slow/busy so you often have to wait to get into the car park. Steps to the basement are not obvious!

I stayed in Novotel Glasgow hotel for 2 nights. First impression when I arrived was a welcoming and beautiful entry. I had a well-decorated and clean room with all facilities required for a comfortable stay. The staff were welcoming, professional and helpful in giving direction. The location is in about 10 minutes walking distance to the city centre. It has a bar/restaurant and a gym. But as I stayed there mainly to explore the city, so I never had a chance to use any of them. The downside was the view from my room which was a demolition site, although no construction were happening, thus not noisy. Overall, it is a recommendable hotel.

The staff at Novotel Glasgow Central could not be better - they are warm, friendly, professional and always prepared to chat and spend some time with you. This is my go to hotel on my regular trips back to my home city and always delivers. This trip: location, room (upgrade), bar, service, gym and food (breakfast) were all great and I'll be back on my next trip to Glasgow.

Stayed for one night in this hotel and that was enough! There is a long-term demolition site immediately next door to the hotel and the noise woke us up at about 6.30am, which is totally unacceptable - see attached pictures. Our room was supposed to be access friendly but the toilet seat was not properly fixed to the pan. We were then offered another room where exactly the same fault was discovered! The room was clean and relatively spacious, but was spoiled by the worst piece of wall art I have ever seen - it was simply hideous. The staff we dealt with were polite and pleasant and the evening meal and breakfast we eat during our brief stay was acceptable. However, the whole experience was spoiled by the major building work being undertaken immediately next door. How long this will take to be resolved is not known and I would recommend avoidance of this hotel until this problem is resolved.
