Visited in early December for our annual festive Glasgow trip. The service we received from all areas of the hotel we visited was excellent. The check in staff were polite, friendly and efficient, and allocated us a room on the top floor. The room was clean and well appointed, with a comfortable king bed and soft chairs . The bathroom was also very clean and hygienic, with a deep bath and good quality shower. We were given access to the executive lounge, but unfortunately we did not have any time to use it- maybe next time! The same applied to the fitness suite and the swimming pool- we were unable to use these facilities due to lack of time! The bar was comfortable and service was very good also. We decided to have breakfast in the hotel before a day's exploring in Glasgow, and we were glad thsat we did. The range of food on offer was excellent, and of a high quality. The hot food was delicious and plentiful, and I always like a well cooked Scottish breakfast with tattie scones! I cannot fault any aspect of this hotel and the service received by every member of staff we encountered. We will book again!

After 2020 my colleagues and I ( who all worked through the pandemic) , were so looking forward to this Christmas party night. The night, DJ and venue it's self was brilliant however, the meal I'm sorry to say was absolutely disgusting. There's no other words for it . I actually couldn't eat any of it. After paying more than £50 each I expected more. In 2019 we used the Hamilton race course and it was superb so there's no excuse. Its sad as other than that it was a great night, this just let it down.

We arrived late and left early, but enjoyed our one-night stay here very much. It is easy to find using satnav, and on-site parking for £10. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the Marriott breakfast was excellent as expected. This is a typical Marriott. If you like them, this is exactly what you'll get here. We'd definitely stay here again.

The location and staff here are excellent. Unfortunately it was very understaffed and the property is very run down. We had one of the very old tired rooms on the 9th floor. The shower was pretty terrible and could only really be used by holding it, we had to get maintenance out the second day because the door to the room wouldn’t close. They did fix this promptly but shouldnt happen with updated fixtures and regular maintenance. We also had to make multiple trips to reception (despite door not closing) as no one answered the phone due to lack of staff, and given the lifts were so busy this took about 30 minutes each time. I was planning on spending the day at the hotel and in the spa whilst husband went to the football but the spa facilities were some of the worst I’ve seen. The whole area was cold and quite dirty and very very run down. Long walk from pool to changing rooms and the pool was very un inviting, more like a community pool than hotel spa area. I checked out the pool before getting changed luckily given I had a bad feeling about it so didn’t use and chose to go back into Glasgow centre in the freezing cold as that was far preferable. If you aren’t spending much time in the hotel and are lucky enough for nothing to go wrong then it’s fine, but overpriced for the poor accommodation. The staff are friendly and efficient and the breakfast is fantastic. But the rooms and facilities mean the premier inn is more appealing than this place.

Dear Kazw2_11, thanks for your post. I am disappointed to learn of the challenges you experienced but would like the opportunity to better understand some of these in person, in particular how it took 30 minutes to get access to reception each time, as you will recall we have 3 guest elevators here at the Hotel so this is an obvious concern for me. I would be obliged if you could contact me directly at the Hotel at your leisure so I can discuss your challenges and resolve these to your satisfaction. Best Regards. Chris

First time staying at the Marriott, and we were pleasantly surprised. I had looked at the reviews and the hotel website beforehand, and can honestly say they don't do this hotel justice. I am quite picky and I struggled to fault much if anything atal! The hotel is immaculately clean, the bedrooms could do with an update, but are pleasant enough to spend time in and by no means shabby. The staff are all well trained & helpful. The location is an easy walk to the city centre. The bar and restaurant areas are very nice, we had the buffet breakfast, food was on a par with any other hotel buffet breakfast, but with a few more items to choose from. Only comment I could make is, housekeeping are a bit early coming round the rooms, 8.40 is a bit sharp! All in all, we plan to come back and try the rest of the facilities the next time.
