I decided to stay here, as it is in downtown Glasgow at George square, and is an older, more traditional hotel. The Carlton George is at or near all the major train, subway and bus hubs and 15-20 minutes from GLA. I booked a few months in advance and had to make a few changes prior to arriving and they...

Visited The Carlton George many times, and once again what a great time we had.The staff make it as soon as we checked in, very friendly and attentive. The room was immaculate and the complimentary mini bar and decanters of spirits are a great touch. Breakfast in The Windows restaurant was good, great views. Will definitely be back... Love it...

My wife & I have stayed at the Carlton George several times now and have enjoyed their hospitality - nowhere else we've stayed has offered us complimentary mini-bar & spirits in our room. We booked an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room was clean however the wash hand basin in the bathroom was not draining (at all)...

Stayed here about 18 months ago and had a truly lovely time. Great room, great service. This time, not so much. The rooms I have are fine, though the views leave much to be desired (across the alley to an office suite), the plumbing is erratic (hot, cool, really hot), and the service this time is disinterested at best. Wifi...

Dear hfulghum. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am sorry that you didn't have the same experience as you had previously. I imagine that you have booked a different to room to your previous visit, which would be why the view would be slightly different. I am sorry you had issues with plumbing....

The hotel is situated in the perfect place. Directly in the heart of the city for nightlife and your shopping on Buchanan Street. The ambience of the hotel is typically British, very cosy, small elevators and small hallways. The rooms are minuscule, but well decorated and that is where you see the British design comes to light at its best....

Stayed in Glasgow overnight and booked this place as others in the party were staying there. I wouldn't have thought of it otherwise but it was delightful. We had an executive room which was very clean with numerous toiletries and a free bar which included decanters of spirits with mixers. The bed was really comfortable and we ate breakfast in...

Great hotel. Always enjoy it here. Don't always get it at the price I would like but I'll keep looking. Go for an executive room. Access to transport is brilliant. The staff are very friendly and it is ideal for a night's stay.
