This is my 5th time staying here. Always the same faces which is really nice to see in this industry and hospitality. Always friendly and the service is great. Tomas I think his name was on reception was very pleasant and informative. Everything was explained. All clean and felt very safe. Thanks again.

My partner and i have just returned from a Night at the Crowne Plaza. Check in was straight forward and the staff were extremely friendly in explaining all Covid restrictions and what services were still on offer. We were on the 10th floor with stunning views, room was spotless and all amenities were spot on. We had 2 treatments (massage and facial) from Sam and her wonderful team who were extremely welcoming, friendly and amazing at what they do. One of the best massages i have had and will certainly return. Dinner was amazing, the food is outstanding and the only thing missing was an after dinner cocktail (Covids fault :(.) In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Lots of selection at breakfast and the granola was tasty. The children loved the pool and have awarded David and Ashley top marks for their friendliness and helpfulness. Enjoyable gym session and the hotel was very covid secure.

I am a platinum member and was given recognition and a up grade , which recently has not always been the case with Crowne plaza's . The staff really could not have been nicer. The Hotel is modern and clean with good Bar and restaurants , the room was at the top end of expectations. But I found it difficult to sleep because of the Humming of the thing that pumps air into the room . Reception told me this is because the windows don't open so they pump fresh air into the rooms and corridors and there was nothing they could do, this would be fine if it were silent ( although it was pretty chilly some might object , I don't ) But I am not sure I would return , they also charge for parking , the car park was pretty empty , but that could be due to covid reducing business but it seemed a little off .

Hi alan252 Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Great to read that you received a suitable welcome and an upgrade. You will always get our cheapest discounted rates by being an IHG rewards members AND booking your reservation on IHG.com. Being an older building, we are constantly replacing and repairing the more noisy a/c units. Thank you for mentioning it to the team as the room would then be prioritized. Getting constant fresh air into this building (as quietly as possible) is also a priority for us just now in these Covid19 times. Thanks so much alan252, and if you do decide to give us another chance, please ask for a quieter room. Jason

We took advantage of a luxury Dinner Bed & Breakfast rate at this hotel offered through the 5pm website. After parking the car we used the covered corridor taking us straight into the hotel lobby area. Check-in was quick, dining and breakfast arrangements explained clearly, and our temperatures were taken. As part of the deal we had a room on the 14th floor with the adjoining room set up with a dining table & chairs plus 2 armchairs and a TV. 2 members of staff came to serve our 3 course meal, both wearing masks and gloves. Service and food were great in a nice setting to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our bedroom was spacious, the bed was comfortable (It said King size on the paperwork but I think it was a superking) Toiletries in bathroom were nice, slippers and bathroom were supplied for our stay too. Curtains kept the daylight out well too. After a good night's sleep we went to the ground floor for breakfast. Machines were available to get hot drinks, whilst a chef served any hot options (some items have to be requested, such as poached eggs) Other food and drinks were self-service. Not too bad on the quiet day we had, but cant see how it works on busier days as people just walked about, no one way system in order. Food was nice however and plenty to choose from. The hotel is located 20 - 30 mins walk along the river from the centre of the city. There's a few attractions nearby, such as the Riverside Museum, Tall boat, and Science Centre, but not many restaurants or bars.
