Stayed for three nights with 30 family members from Spain, except for the writer, all first time in Scotland. Excellent place to stay, very close to the centre, Glasgow university and most places. Rooms clean and large, excellent breakfast, very helpful staff. No complaints at all.

Service was excellent, we were upgraded from the guesthouse to the hotel on arrival. The staff was always ver hospitable wether at the reception, the breakfastroom or the roomservice. We had a thuroughly enjoyable stay in a neat and clean room. Perfect breakfast every morning. We would stay again when coming to Glasgow and can definitely recommend staying there.

Always a good stay, friendly helpful staff. Would recommend as an ideal place to stay in Glasgow, a reasonably quiet location but within easy reach of the city centre plenty of choice of eating places nearby. .

As regular visitors to glasgow this is very well priced for a central location. Although external appearance isn't too flattering the rooms ...certainly the new flatted property across road from hotel were good.our 2nd stay in last few months

We stayed at the Argyll on our last night in Scotland because we wanted a reasonably priced, smaller, downtown location rather than staying out at the airport. Argyll fit the bill perfectly. It is two blocks from the stunning Kelvingrove Park and lots of restaurants and pubs. It also is two blocks from the on ramp to the highway to... More

We were warmly welcomed to this hotel which in a great lication for events and gigs in Kelvin grove and other attractions in the west end and Finnieston. Bus stop has regular buses right into city centre and Buchanan bus station. Will go back.

Stayed here for a hen party and event. Nice hotel, nicely decorated & lovely from the street. Rooms a bit small but had all you needed. Staff very helpful and the breakfast next morning was excellent. Ideal place for an overnight for sightseeing in Glasgow or an event at the SECC. I would skip the in-house murder mystery evenings, it... More

Minus: Room is big enough to swing a hamster. You can't pee without waking best beloved cos floor creaks, bathroom door sticks and running tap sounds like first few seconds of bagpipe favourite. Plus: room named Gordon. Not the gopher or moron but one of the 'most powerful clans of middle Scotland' aka 'cock of the north'. Appropriate. Clean. Great... More

The Argyll Hotel,an independent, proper, customer based hotel, is ideal for the Kelvingrove complex, which was the reason we were in Glasgow. The reception was bright and welcoming. Check in,no problems, receptionist friendly and helpful. The room was more than we expected. Very clean, all the accoutrements for a comfortable stay. Shower/bathroom looked new and was spotless, lots of thick, white... More

We spent two nights here visiting Glasgow. The rooms are small but clean and well decorated in Argyll tartan. The breakfast service in the restaurant is excellent with enough food for anyone's tastes. The hotel is close to many pubs and within five minutes walking distance to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (one of the top sights in Glasgow).... More
