I attended a family wedding here. The venue is lovely for the intimate type wedding that I attended. The meal was also lovely with good choice. Drinks were a bit expensive but that is to be expected at a Du Vin hotel. It was a really classy place though and I thoroughly enjoyed the day and night.

We had a suite (all ordinary rooms were taken) tucked away up several flights of stairs. For people with mobility problems this is a major snag: no lifts in a historic building. Very comfortable and spacious, but bizarre: four poster bed with black hangings like a prop from a Hammer film (we expected to find a dead bride laid out... More

Sadly we were only staying as a one night stop over travelling back to Australia. From the moment we parked the car we were greeted by a very friendly gent who took our suitcases for us, the check in was comfortable and with ease. Our room was beautifully decorated and set out with the highlight being the deep bath. We... More

Wonderful stay at a truly opulent hotel! Rooms were gorgeous though maybe slightly tired in some parts. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious....bar was great though expensive!! Definitely a place to treat your fave person to a night in....makes you want to live like the other half! ☺.

Went on Saturday night with my wife and felt really taken care of. The atmosphere, the service and the food were all completely faultless. I would recommend the wood pigeon start and the lamb as a main, both were delicious. The tarte tartin was also top quality. It was not cheap but definitely worth it. Tablecloths would have taken the... More

Stunning architecture and interior. The rooms are lovely, the hotel so unique. Dinner by a fire, a super tasty dinner too! Loved every moment of it, and a great walk back from town - a bit further out but most enjoyable walk and easy to get transport/bus into town. Will go again and highly recommend

My husband and I were gifted afternoon tea, having never been here before we were really looking forward to it. We pass the hotel often and always comment how beautiful it looks. Well the decor inside did not disappoint - it really is beautiful and tasteful. What did disappoint was when we ordered afternoon tea and I asked for sandwiches... More

My husband and I visited this hotel on Saturday evening as it was our first wedding anniversary. We stayed in the Krug suite. We have both came home today gutted we had to leave such a wonderful place. From the minute we booked the hospitality shown was amazing and on arrival the welcome we had was lovely and warming. We... Elaine and I were married at this excellent venue on July 23rd. It was a perfect day, contributed to heavily by the quality of the venue and the organisation of the team who looked after us. When choosing wedding venues originally, we saw the Townhouse and had a no hassle guide by John. It was our choice straight away. No... More
