I love this hotel, the staff are exceptional, the hotel is stunning and it has a great history. The rooms are large and very well equiped. I stay here every time Im in Glasgow. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the train station and within walking distance to most of the shops in Glasgow. There is a hotel concierge and they are really helpful. The food is wonderful and the bars are nice. My stay was pre covid so unable to comment on that
Nothing can be said about the hotel in a negative way, apart from maybe modernizing some bits and pieces here and there, as for example, the doors would always make a sound when opening/closing and they would not feel as very strong doors. A bit scary the hotel in the night, including the entrance and corridors but we had a nice view towards the bridge and the train station & lines.
dirty bathroom and bed sheets. slow service and unfriendly staff. too much outside noise prevents you from getting a good nights sleep. Uncomfortable bed. Management are rude and unhelpful. Never a four star hotel. Dated.
Wonderful time, hotel fit all our needs. Perfect hotel for a quick weekend stay. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating as we were traveling with two small children. Would definitely stay again! Perfect city center location, lovely bar with lots of places to eat within walking distance.
With in-trepidation I attended a charity event. However I need not have worried. The hotel was excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent table service. Imaginative menu. Served at once, piping hot, attractive to look at, and tasted good. I would recommend for a big bash/wedding/event.
