Lovely welcome and everything was very straight forward. Lovely cosy room. Didn't sleep that well as it was busy and noisy outside. Breakfast was lovely. Perfect poached eggs and the server was happy and friendly

Dear Flyer14104131654, Thank you for your great review of the Acorn Hotel. We are thrilled that you were well looked after and enjoyed your breakfast and cosy bedroom. The hotel is located in the quieter park area of the city, some if our higher floor rooms may have been an option for you and can be requested in advance. Hope we will see you again very soon. I visit Glasgow quite regularly to see my son, and this is by far the nicest hotel that I've stayed in. Very efficient and friendly service, extremely clean rooms and a good breakfast. Also a good location, not right in the heart of the city, but within easy walking distance.

Hi Prudence A! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a glowing review, we're really thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us. Our location is pretty handy, particularly for those travelling from across the pond and want to get a good overall view of the city and what it has to offer. And of course our breakfast is second to none! We're very proud of it and our 'freshly cooked' policy. I'm glad we could even provide you with a wee workout during your daily routine, but as you said for those who don't like stairs as much as you do, we're always happy to provide a ground floor room upon request. You're comments have been well received, so thank you and please do come see us again should the opportunity ever presents itself. Kris & Alan were very fond of your presence at the hotel and have asked me to pass on their well wishes. Warmest Regards, Robert.

Where can you park
You can park in parking bays in the street or nearby streets, but you will need to get parking vouchers for that. Please contact the hotel reception for details.

What no bus could i get from queen street station to the hotel ?
Hi Helen, The best way is to change trains at Queen Street & get the low level to Charing Cross and the hotel is 3-5 minutes walk. This costs the same as the fare to Queen Street and is the same distance as the nearest bus stop. There are no direct buses from Queen Street so you would need to go to Buchanan Bus station and get the No 77. Hope this helps!

What is the best way to get to the hotel from the train station?
Hello Lorraine, The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Central station or about 5 minutes in a taxi which cost around £6.00 If you wanted to take the bus there is a First company which goes from Bothwell street to the bottom of Elderslie Street every 10 minutes Hope this is of help and please do not hesitate to contact me should you require further assistance Best Regards Alan

"There is no lift, so if you don't feel a walk up to the second or third floor, you should probably ask when booking."
