Smiths is an old tired hotel in glasgows west end. It's like a throw back to what was acceptable 40 years ago. I booked it as I had little choice and it offered a private car park and breakfast. The car park was full they said, so I ended up parking on the street. Worn carpets as you enter gives... More

Good budget hotel in the city centre. Stay was adequate and was cheap so was exactly what I was looking for. If you’re expecting luxury this is not the place but if you’re wanting a nice clean bed and breakfast at a decent price then smiths is ideal.

We loved our stay in this family run b&b. We were given rooms initially on the third floor but the receptionist as kind enough to change us to the 1st floor when he sway that one of our party had leg problems. Thought that was good of him to do that. Stay was comfy and breakfast was served quickly and... More

I was glad we were only staying 1 night. The hotel is looking very tired and needs some serious upgrading, or even just a lick of paint. The room itself and the bathroom smelt horrible. The window was a sky light and would only open up fully or not at all. It was very hot but we couldn't keep the... More

First impressions as we walked in, it seemed as if the place was just a bit run down. After we lugged our bags up three flights of stairs, we unlocked the door to our very smelly (like feet or dirty laundry) room. We opened the window (skylight?) to begin airing it out. The carpet was dirty, there was a large... More

Wanted to come and see Glasgow during the holidays with my family as never been before and have to say that it was thoroughly enjoyable experience. The wife loved the shopping streets of Buchanan St and Argyle St and plenty of eateries in the city centre and near the hotel. The local Glaswegians were very friendly and pleasant and my... More

Clean, tidy no thrills stay at this Bed and breakfast. Facilities were basic which was expected as it wasn’t 5 stars and was a cheap price but was happy with the standard nonetheless. Staff was always helpful when I engaged with them and were nice enough to let me use the car park for a few more hours after check-out.

Could touch both sides of the room while standing in the middle. Felt about as safe as a donut at weightwatchers. Would have been better off sleeping in my jeep! Hotel run down, dirty, smelly and so so jaded. Please booking.com remove it!

didn’t stay too long because only used this place when moving to my new flat and needed to stay for a few hours while things were getting sorted out. But staff were nice and polite and let me keep my bags at reception when I had to hurry to the get keys to the new flat.

Came down to Glasgow to attend a music concert at the hydro and we needed something close by but at a lowish price as we were on budget. Smiths was spot on for us and for £50 a night, we felt it was good value. Breakfast was added in free as well and have to say it was pretty good.... More
