After several failed attempts to book one of the more well known hotels in Glasgow for an overnight stay, we found The Glasgow Guest House - what a find indeed and very reasonably priced! A warm and inviting welcome from John Naismith, the owner, awaited us after a long drive down from the north when also getting a little lost...

For over 20 years we have been going to the Glasgow Guest House when in Glasgow. John, the proprietor, ever friendly and helpful has created an atmosphere that affects all the guests and ensures a happy stay. Its situation is ideal for access to the city centre by train or bus, to parks, museums, art galleries and motorways.

I stayed here 9-10 th November. Stayed in suite which was spacious, clean and warm. John was very helpful - even getting Soya milk just for me. Liked that you can make your own evening meals and would really recommend.

We had an excellent four night stay. John couldn't have been more helpful and it was an attractive house in easy reach of Glasgow destinations. The breakfast was very enjoyable. Try the fruit platter!

Stayed at at John's guest house weekend , 13-14 Nov 2016, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. House is warm and comfortable with excellent service in all departments. John is full of information and cannot be be faulted on the level of information he can offer. The house is in a residential area of Glasgow that is not far from the city...

What a cracking place. A really interesting building with lots of lovely features. We stayed in the family apartment which was perfect for a family of 4. John was a fantastic host and really made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and the kids didn't want to leave! Will definitely return if needing to stay overnight in Glasgow again.

This little gem is worth its weight in gold. John the owner is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Whether your trip is business or pleasure you wont do any better.Ideally situated just off the motorway and with plenty of available free parking, only a short taxi ride into the town centre. ......youre favourite Oil of Ulay Family xx

Absolutely perfect. John and his family go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Our room was spacious and very clean, the entire house is spotless. Can't recommend this b&b enough, it's faultless.

We turned up at the Glasgow Guest House to find we didn't have a booking. I mistook the responding email as a confirmation and missed the line requesting credit card details. Even though John was fully booked he put us up in his residence for the night. Can't get much better then that!!
