The restaurant has a lovely setting with views over the fantastic gardens. The menu on offer although small had enough to satisfy all of us. The food arrived well presented and was absolutely delicious. A choice of freshly made bread rolls were a lovely touch. Coffee was served in the lounge sitting on comfortable sofas. A very relaxed lunch. The...

We hadn't visited this hotel for some time and were pleasantly surprised by the great food, service and accommodation. The hotel had been renovated since our last visit - it was warm and cosy and clean.

We had afternoon tea last saturday. now, I love my afternoon tea and have been made to loads of different venues. My favourite to date has been butterfly and pig on bath street in Glasgow for the quality of the sandwiches and cakes. However, it has now been surpassed by rufflets. the location is beautiful and the library room where...

I stayed at Rufflets to celebrate my engagement earlier this month. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a super comfortable stay and were very well looked after. The small, romantic touches really made it for us! Afternoon tea was delicious and our room was immaculate. The bathroom, in particular, was absolutely beautiful. The staff there work...

We visited Rufflets Hotel again for another birthday lunch, having only discovered it a few months ago, and it did not disappoint. From the warm, friendly welcome, great service to the gorgeous lunch menu, beautifully presented, Rufflets Hotel manages to achieve the most wonderful ambience; totally professional, efficient but relaxed. A truly lovely birthday treat! Thank you.

Dear Jacqui We really appreciate the feedback - and thank you for the kind words. It is always good to hear when the hard work that the team put in goes down so well - and I know that they love to see that they have been able to make such a good impact. The balance that we achieve isn't...

I stayed here for my birthday and loved every minute of it. Such a great hotel, in a lovely location and the staff are wonderful. The hotel is set just outside of the town centre but it is literally a couple of minutes car journey to the centre. The hotel is in a really peaceful location and has beautiful gardens....

Glad to read that you were able to have such a great time with us for your birthday - Rufflets does offer a lovely tranquil setting, but with the town on the door-step as well. Was pleased to note that the team had reacted well to the request for the different room as well. Hope that we might be able...

I frequent this lovely small country house hotel several times a year to indulge and relax. It is very near to St Andrews, and handy for walking the Fife coastal path. The real reasons to visit are the roaring log fires, the warm welcome, the unfussy but precise service and the food. Dinner was perfect form the Kir Royale in...

Dear Marion Many thanks for the kind feedback - and as always, we were really pleased to see how much you had enjoyed the stay with us at Rufflets. The team do work hard to ensure that the whole experience is very good indeed - and perhaps the key word that you use is 'unfussy' - this does allow us...

Ive travelled the world and been to some nice hotels, the Rufflets is probably one of the best hotels ive stayed in. When we arrived the room wasn't quite ready but had arrived at 1140 am, we had a drink in the beautiful bar reception area. Within 15 -20 mins the room was ready and we were taken upstairs to...

Delighted to be able to read your comments - and good to see that the team did react well to the requested change. One aspect that does get frequently mentioned is the fact that whilst we are set in a tranquil setting, we are very close to the town of St Andrews, and all the wonderful things that it offers....
