Rusack's in one special place. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with comfortable elegance. Fantastic service, beautiful rooms and great food. Don't miss breakfast at The Bridge, a great steak at 18 and the corn chowder at the one under pub! We arrived after sunset, checked into our room, walked out on the balcony to the smell of salt air and the sounds of a distant bagpipe. Seriously magical place!

Starting with the basics: the room (a double double) is new, big, very clean, very comfortable and the decor is stunning. Web site photos are spot on except the room is bigger than it looks on the web. Everyone we encountered working here is friendly and helpful. We ate in the pub and the food was good. The view of the 18th hole from the roof lounge is impressive. The location is great, and they have a parking garage. Which leads me to the standout aspect of the stay. ...On the first night we get a knock on the door. Wife answers while I am in the bathroom and says “no” to someone. I ask, what did they want. Oh, somebody with an MG has a problem in the garage. "WHAT” I say, we have an MG. In her defense our MG SUV rental was hardly the little British sports car you could get in the states in the 70s. We had just arrived from the states, no sleep on the plane, in a foreign country, finally escaping the covid lockdown, etc. I did not want to spend my first day on vacation dealing with a flat tire! But no problem, I am at Rusacks. Between the people behind the desk, the night manager, and the valets the flat was fixed by check out with literally no effort on my part other than uttering “Avis”. We stayed in 5 other higher end hotels on this trip. They all had very good service. But would this happen anywhere else, I do not know. We loved this hotel. It’s clearly the perfect place to start a Scotland tour.…

I stayed for two weeks during November 2023 and was immensely impressed by the service, the rooms, the food and ambience at Russacks. The staff made us feel welcome, and in particular managed a transition between two rooms seamlessly. Loved every minute. We will be back, and soon!

Wonderful location, room was lovely and bed super comfortable. Views and outlook over the old course was awesome! The hotel itself is delightful. The shambles starts and ends with the staff! Breakfast was just a mish mash of disorganisation - mouldy toast had to be sent back, breakfast (Full Scottish) was cold on both days, fruit served at same time as cooked, and the al a carte approach just didn’t work! Staff just not seemingly trained well enough, there was no leadership apparent. The top floor bar staff the same - no apparent senior leadership and I even had to explain how to make a Kir Royale! Not a tricky one surely! Employing students is admirable but when one pays many hundreds of pounds per night, one expects better skilled people looking after the guests! Otherwise a lovely weekend.…

This is our third time staying at The Rusacks and it is our favorite spot in St Andrews! We visit our son at University and the location is perfect for walking everywhere. Great rooms, service and common areas. Nice breakfast room overlooking the golf course. And the restaurant 18 is always a special dining experience for our family!

Very happy with our anniversary stay, all the staff was very pleasant the entire time and we were attended to quickly and professionally. Great views of the golf course and water. Restaurants also amazing!

This hotel made our golf experience at St Andrews perfect. Location is the best to watch and start old course. Good atmosphere and nice staff of robby and restaurant prepare fantastic time to enjoy with friends.
