Well maintained older hotel room, clean, tidy and terrific staff. Good value breakfast. Short walk to the Falkirk wheel via canal. Stopped for a cold beer at the friendly Union Inn, staff were brilliant. Nearby is an excellent fish and chip shop.

I'm not sure about refurbishment, but the rooms were clean and tidy. Our room was at the back of the hotel over looking the yard and bins. It was a little compact as we had two cases, but fine for an overnight stay.

Good morning from Glasgow.
Yes the hotel is on the main road into Falkirk and buses regularly pass the front of the hotel. There are also two train stations nearby one of which is about a 15 / 20 minute walk or 4 or 5 minutes by bus that passes the hotel. The other train station is only slightly further away. Train times are at a guess every 45 minutes maybe even 30 minutes apart. You can easily get to Edinburgh or Glasgow by train.
Hope this helps. Enjoy Scotland.
