Visited Edinburgh in June 2016 with two friends and ended up staying in Leith. (a nice place). The Abbot's House Hotel, a basic B&B is saturated in a good location just outside Edinburgh City Centre, and on a good sunny day it’s a distant to walk to but with a good public transport why walk? The Abbot's House Hotel wasn’t... More

We stayed here at the end of May and it was a lovely friendly hotel, really well situated for public transport into Edinburgh (10-15mins on the bus, which offers a £4 all day pass). Staff were really friendly, breakfast was nice every morning. We had an ensuite double room which was lovely and clean, the hotel seemed to offer a... More

Came to Edinburgh for a job interview and stayed for two nights. The Hotel is in a nice location not far from the city center and a ten minutes walk away from Granary Leith with a few pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The staff was very kind and obliging. Wifi just works downstairs at the dining room or... More

Staff were very pleasant and location very handy with free parking. It's not The Ritz but the price was and absolute steal. Wifi was free throughout and our room (30) was very spacious and very very warm.

Basic, clean, and helpful. oh and very cheap at £38 a bargain, a little out of town but plenty of public transport for those with lazy or tired legs. Car park is small so get there early and park facing outwards else you will get stuck! WiFi needs sorting as its only in the lobby, room 24 may get it... More

This hotel is in a pretty good location in Edinburgh. Easily accessible by transit and easy to find. Free parking and Wifi. The rooms themselves are pretty outdated and my room smelled like cat pee. We tried to open the windows but couldn't get rid of the smell. This hotel is also pretty inexpensive. Outside of all of that the... More

We were in room 15. The b&b was very basic but with it being very cheap, you get for what you pay. The double room we had was quite small but had a tv and coffe making facilities which was great. The ceiling must be very thin as you could hear the slightest of movement in the room above. Every... More

My daughter and I stayed here in July 2015 and it was fine, a nit far to walk into the city centre but that's not really a big problem, the room was good, clean and tidy, the shower was a bit broken but not so bad it didn't work and hey I've used worse ☺ I would use it again... More

Me and my wife were attending a evening event at Leith Town Hall and so were looking for a hotel in the Leith area. Originally we were going to stay in the Holiday Inn, but a freind who was also attending the same event told us she was staying in The Abbot's House, which was nearer to the event. Nice... More
