Great owners, fantastic breakfast! New, clean bathrooms, big room, perfect location. Better than a lot of hotels. Unfortunatelly the gym room wasn´t available but apart from that everything else worked out really fine

What a great little find. It's an entire Georgian house and very chic it is too. It's different. You have the run of the place (kitchen inc) and it really works. It's not a hotel (remember that! No RS) and it's def not a b&b - but It genuinely feels like you are staying as a privileged guest of the...

We loved our stay at One Royal Circus. We had one of the rooms on the top floor with a nice view over the Circus. It was huge and well appointed. Breakfast was great and there were lovely little touches such as Nespresso machines in the rooms and also in the communal areas. It was really like spending the weekend...

The owners have hired a young woman "Christina"from Spain...

So sorry that I didn't write this sooner but at least I'm writing now! This was the most amazing place to stay. We spend 17 days in Scotland choosing One Royal Circus as our final stay. My husband was deployed to Iraq at the time and we met here for his R&R. Our room was quite, comfortable and romantic. Jo...

One Royal Circle in Edinburgh, Scotland is an elegant home in a lovely location in the heart of the city. Within a short walk of the home we were at great restaurants, good shopping, the historically fascinating Edinburgh Castle, and many other points of interest. Our greeting was warm and informative about the home and the city of Edinburgh. Afternoon...

We spent one night in this wonderful Georgian townhouse and didn't want to leave! On entering 'One Royal Circus' you instantly know that you have arrived somewhere super-cool, relaxed and chic. The entrance hall is spacious and welcoming, with the kitchen and a pool room/library acting as adjoining rooms and a beautiful, inviting, winding staircase leading up to the first...

This was a spectacular find! We booked out all the rooms for friends who were in town for a wedding. I ran into the owners a few years later, randomly, and they are just lovely!!! I highly recommend this hotel. You'll adore all the little secret decorations!! Enjoy!!!

I have to see I tend to prefer b&b to hotels because they have their own character and uniqueness ... and this place certainly does!!! The entrance door looks like the one of a private house, as soon as I walked through I could tell everything was designed by an architect. As a matter of fact the owner is an...

Staying in New Town

Neighborhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
