very clean and comfortable room. ideally located for easy walking into the centre of Edinburgh. we stayed in room number 1 which was close to the morning breakfast restaurant the staff although on the whole where quiet the movement of people preparing for breakfast at 6 am was a tad early for my liking! other than that is was a...

We were not sure what to expect, but the photo of a turreted hotel piqued our interest. The hotel, inside the grounds of Edinburgh University, exceeded all our expectations. Our very comfortable room overlooked 'Arthur's Seat' - a bonus. The Lounge was very grand - Scottish Baronial style, which we loved. The food in nearby Masson Hall was excellent, including...

The hotel is in a really quiet location and very peaceful, just park up and use the bus service that runs from just outside. The hotel is within the grounds for university Halls of residence, but we stayed on a Friday and Saturday without any disturbance from the student body. The halls were some distance away anyway so I doubt...

During our recent trip to Dublin, London, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, this was by far our favorite hotel. The room was large, with a big comfortable bed. The room also had a desk and couch. The TV channel offerings were somewhat limited compared to other places we stayed during the trip, but this was a minor inconvenience. The bathroom was HUGE,...

Fantastic hotel in the University's Pollock Park but most definitely NOT student accommodation. A traditional building with an 'academic feel' - oak panelled dining room with high ceilings etc. Walked everywhere we wanted to go - castle, parliament and Holyrood Palace. Situated right next to Holyrood park it was a stone's throw to the path up to Arthur's Seat. Parking...

The hotel itself sits within a campus for university students. Its approximately 5 minutes walk to Arthur's seat and around half an hour into Edinburgh old town. At check in I noticed that I had booked a double room instead of two singles (I travelling with my son) and mentioned this. The staff were friendly and accommodating and changed our...

My husband and I we're heading up to Edinburgh for one night for a romantic night away to celebrate both our birthdays. We chose this hotel as the pictures looked nice and the price was right....how wrong we were. The 20 mins walk from town was actually 40 minutes and we arrived to find the hotel is actually in the...
