Very welcoming and friendly. On a major bus route so buses every 2 minutes and 10 minutes to the city. Parking a bit tight. Or thirty minutes walk to the city. We had one of the units at the back. Shower was a bit temperamental.

Minto Guest House is located about a 20 minute walk from the city centre (although there is a bus stop right outside). The owner is very friendly but we were disappointed at the lack of "fineries" you would expect while on holiday. Only shower gel was provided (no other toiletries) and we had to ask for extra towels. Breakfast was... More

We arrived and saw immediately by the first appearance that this would be totally different than what was shown online. I can understand that the house is old, but this place needs a makeover really bad. Our 3 person room was awefull, 1 leaning wardrobe 40cm/200cm, 1 half attached light hanging crooked on the ceiling, curteins that were like cardboard.... More

From this guest house you can reach the city centre by walking (25'), by bus (station in front of the house) or through a cab (the ride is about 6/7£). The interior is spare, even minimalist and it's pretty cold during the night. Our room had the bathroom inside, which was clean. The continental breakfast is good enough. The wifi... More

It's a few minutes outside the city centre, but a bus stop is right there. The owner was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was nothing special, still good though. Our room was quite big and the beds were really comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay there.

We stayed here for two nights, we had a very big room, with a small bathroom. Towels were rough and not really clean. There was nothing to dry the floor after a shower. Breakfast was ok, our host was very friendly, she gave us good advice about where to get dinner.

The location was good, the owner was a very lovely lady but the place was filthy. Mold in the shower, the toilet seat was broken, sink hanging off the wall, cold tap didn't work. Badly bitten by bed bugs. Not worth £95 per night!

The family that runs it is very welcoming and friendly. My experience there couldn't have been better. The neighborhood is pretty and well located for walking to the Royal Mile or taking a bus. My room was cleaned every day. It felt very homey. Nadia was a sweet and informative host. I liked having a friendly cat around to pet,... More

Clean beds and towels. Satisfying, continental breakfast. Great location close to public transportation. Rooms are cozy and clean. Choose room with toilet inside. We stayed in a annex in the back of the house, and we had privacy. Recommend to those traveling on a budget. Great host/owner-Nadia is a great lady. Helpful and chatty.
