Nira Caledonia is surrounded by the cobbled streets and Georgian elegance of New Town, a short stroll from Princes Street, Nira Caledonia is a central yet peaceful Edinburgh retreat. Amid the plush pelmets, rich textures and original cornices you'll find flat-screen televisions, Nespresso coffee machines, complimentary Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations. You'll find warm, heartfelt service and a cool, quirky style. Each of our sumptuous rooms and suites is unique, with its own opulent character. Many have vast floor-to-ceiling sash windows, others open out onto a private garden and some feature a relaxing Jacuzzi. All have new ultra-comfortable beds and pillows of goose feather and down. As a protected Grade A building we don't have a lift, but our porters are always on hand and we offer 24-hour room service. The cuisine at our restaurant is natural, fresh and often organic, with ingredients farmed, caught, raised or bred in Scotland and with over 25 Scotch whiskey blends and single malts, our bar also focuses on local flavours. With a friendly touch - and a touch of theatre - we welcome independent-minded travellers who prefer to go their own way. Come our way.

The hotel is beautiful, we stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites for our wedding anniversary. I had a few add ons which were totally worth it. Would definitely recommend. The staff extremely attentive. The only negative I would say is the dinner was disappointing. Needs more flavour and umph in the meals. The breakfast thankfully was much better

We had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. The building is a lovely classic Georgian building which has been styled in a comfortable contemporary way without compromising the integrity of this listed bui;lding.

Absolutely fantastic, room was amazing and staff were extremely helpful. The reason for our stay was for an engagement. We paid for the romantic turndown, where the staff decorated the room with candles and petals whilst we were at dinner. This was an amazing surprise to my partner. Overall great stay

Wonderful oasis in the centre of the city. Another return visit, love this place. Always stay in room 10/10. Sadly we were most disappointed by our dinner experience this week, well below the standard we have come to expect at this establishment and we chose to dine elsewhere on the second evening, despite being on a DB&B rate. Staff you do come into contact with are polished to perfection and make you feel very special.

Fabulous accommodation and first class staff providing an unrivalled holiday experience in a beautiful city. Situated in the New Town (which is stunning) and close enough to main areas of interest for walking to be the best option for getting around. To be thoroughly recommended.
