We only stayed one night in this boutique hotel and it was amazing! Clean, quaint, easily located in a walkable area. Our late night check-in host was very welcoming. Plus, the restaurant for breakfast was so convenient!
Beautiful boutique hotel, Audrey on reception was very welcoming and even carried my bag to my room, We booked a Wee double but had a complementary upgrade to a petite townhouse overlooking the garden. All Staff were very polite, friendly and were happy to help, rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels/bathrobes. Very comfortable beds and thick blackout curtains to block out the early morning sun. Rooms were spacious and the bathroom was perfect with a jacuzzi bath and a rainfall overhead shower. Breakfast was included in our stay and the choice of ceral, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurts, fresh fruit jucies aswell as cooked breakfasts andthat were filling with a selecrion of hot beverages. It is in a good location close to restaurants, quaint pubs and shops, all staff have knowledge of the surrounding area and can give insight if you want to visit places. I would stay here again and highly reccommend to people who want to stay somewhere, small and are a name not a number …
A unique hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Tasteful breakfasts are offered daily. But be aware that there is no lift or escalator, so carrying your baggage up and down would be a challenge to some people.
Such an amazing Hotel. My Wife and I thought we were booking a "Room" only to arrive and end up in a Suite with a private Garden. The Breakfast is included and includes a full cooked Scottish Breakfast along with pastries, yoghurt, nuts & seeds and Fruit or whatever you would like. There is a Vegetarian option as well. The food is the best we've ever had at any hotel and the Hotel staff are so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The Hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from Stockbridge (Hector's Pub & Restaurant is a must for anyone staying or visiting here) and around 10-15 minute walk from the City Centre. It is so quiet that its really difficult to imagine that you are in Edinburgh City Centre. There are other amazing looking hotels in Edinburgh but I recommend Nira Caledonia 100% and we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you to all at Nira Caledonia for such a wonderful stay. …
Hi my name is Monir, I find like my home at NIRA! Service like very friendly! Administration always kind, stay at hotel very calm! One word outstanding! So I personally suggest, if you visit Edinburgh don't forget to stay with Nira Caledonia!
I stayed one night for a short work trip to Edinburgh and found the hotel to be lovely and quiet though only a short walk from the restaurants and buzz of the city. The room was beautiful and the L'Occitane toiletries a nice touch.
The staff are very friendly and kind to assist our stay. We enjoyed the suite room and complimentary breakfast! I wish we could stay longer! The hotel is located in a good location and walking distance to everything so highly recommend!
We spent 3 nights in this boutique hotel and our rooms (wee double and grand townhouse) were beautifully decorated with great mattresses to relax on after exploring the city. We had a warm welcome and the staff is super friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel itself is very tastefully decorated and within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and sights, yet in a very quiet neighborhood. We hope to come back to this hotel and would recommend it to our friends and family.
Make sure you get the room you booked as false advertising. Don’t bother with the ads ons save yourself some ££ and go to the pound shop for 5 plan balloons like they did for the birthday package. Taps hanging off the ‘hot tub’ which struggles to fit 1 adult. Staff don’t care and more interested in sitting on their laptop.
We came here for a two night stay in a wee double. The room was ok we normally prefer a bigger room but was fine for the 2 nights. The building itself is of Georgian architecture and is lovely inside. It’s in a beautiful part of Edinburgh which we never knew about and we loved going to all the shops in nearby Stockbridge. The breakfast was absolutely lovely and loads we couldn’t finish all of it but gave it a good try. Staff are very attentive polite and very helpful especially Jean Luc (hope that’s how it’s spelt) He was very informative and made you feel at home he clearly loves his job and is a great asset to this hotel. We will most definitely return here as it’s a lovely hotel if you are in Edinburgh look it up it’s worth the find. The decor in the other building they have is beautiful and they have a beautiful dining room. They have just a small bar which could be extended we felt if sitting there at night but you can sit in the restaurant once meals are over. It’s a lovely hotel and we are glad we found it. Keep up the good work everyone your all doing a grand job.…
