The Abercorn B&B provided us with excellent accommodation and a friendly and gracious atmosphere. We comfortably wandered around the surrounding neighbourhood both during the day and evening and found the area to be quite scenic.

Bore da (Cymraeg) (Good morning) I had never been to or experienced the Hogmanay in Scotland before and thus decided to make a return visit to Edinburgh. After my wonderful May Day weekend experience in 2006 I naturally decided to return to the Abercorn. Well as I arrived for my second visit I was given a very warm and kind... More

We just got back from the UK and we stayed in 4 b&b places and once in a hotel. The Abercorn House was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Angela has a golden heart and you feel like you are a guest in her house - not a customer. Our kids (age of 9, 7 & 2)... More

Best B&B I have ever been, rooms are spotless , food is excellent and Angela is just the most charming woman I met during my trips. Portobello is a lovely village and I felt absolutely safe and comfortable. I recommend it to a lot of people and will always choose ABERCORN GUEST HOUSE when I plan to travel to Edinburgh.

Sorry Angela loved your house but found the location not at all nice Portobello is a small district and could be nice but seems to have loads of lost teenagers wandering about in the evening some quite scary !! we arrived from the north and did not feel like going into town so we went into Portobello for dinner and... So sorry you did not feel comfortable in Portobello, the area we really love, and the reason many guests return to the area, its such a shame but I think on the particular night mentioned ,you have been sadly very unlucky, because many lost teenagers hanging around is not the normal, hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Kind Regards, Angela. More

We stayed at the Abercorn for one night on our way back to Edinburgh Airport. A lovely B&B like home from home. Angela and Jimmy made us so welcome. The breakfast was by far one of the best we have had. The ambience of the B&B was fantastic welcoming, warm and friendly.

There are simply not enough stars to rate the excellence of Abercorn Guest House. 1. The ambiance is very special. Each room is lavishly decorated with the guest's comfort and care in mind. But more than that, Abercorn is a beautiful place to stay. 2. Service, food, and rooms exceeded any expectations I had of a guest house. My family... More

One of the best B&B's we've stayed in. The house and rooms are beautifully decorated. Angela the owner so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and relaxed. The only bad point was the shower was weak, but with all the plus points it really didn't matter. Only 10-15 minute bus ride into the centre of Edinburgh and buses were really... More
