Absolutely amazing! Best hostel I've ever stayed in (and I stayed in many places). Warm, homely atmosphere created both by the place itself and by the great staff. Not a party hostel, so you can get a good night's sleep. Access to chill out room...More

Very cute, very clean. Small rooms mean quiet nights. That was the best night's sleep I've had in a while because it was so peaceful. We made a few friends in the kitchen for breakfast too. I wish the beds had a little more individual...More

The Lighthouse hostel is ideal for travellers. It's clean, cosy, has got activities every evening, and cheap. But the best part of this hostel is the staff, by far. Friendly, always able to help you, charming... I definitely would stay again.

Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along

We provide towels on free-hire. You just need to put down a refundable £5 deposit for each towel. We hope to see you in Edinburgh.

Hello guys! How are you? I would like to ask one thing. Is that hostel noisy in the night? I ask this because I have some problems for sleeping. I am very sorry for this inconvenience. But any help would be quite appreciated. Thanks in advance, Truly Regards! Fernando, from Brazil.

Hello Fernando, Our hostel is in a quiet neighbourhood, so it is quiet in the night. We also provide free ear plug if you require. I hope this helps.

Hi, My name is Giulio Pederzolli, I am a 24 old Italian guy just graduated in Labour Law who would like to do an experience in Scotland (preferably in Edinburgh) from the first half of June, to improve my English but having the possibility to self-finance this experience. I heard about the choice of working in hostels in exchange for accommodation and (perhaps) a small amount of money. I have no experience in the field but I am available for any kind of jobs and I'm very motivated. I ask you if this is possible in your hostel. Thanks for your attention, Giulio Pederzolli.
