We were a bit worried after reading some of the bad reviews but we were pleasantly surprised when whe got there. Beds are very comfy, modern rooms with en suite. Old fashioned furniture but they do the job. Plenty of shops near by but its £13 for a 3 mile taxi ride (20 minutes) to Meadowbank Stadium so best to... More

Welli chose this as it was the only "cheapest" place i could get.. £50 is expensive for the "room" Working in housekeeping i know what to check. The duvet cover had black marks on it, pulled back the cover and found a hair. Under the bed was a hair tie. Pulled out the bed and was THICK with dust! I... More

The Dalry Guesthouse is a good average B&B and I feel that a few of the reviews are unfair, so let me clarify. PROS - Reasonably clean rooms with comfy bed and warm duvets - Reasonably clean shared bathroom - Towels supplied - Shampoo and shower gel available - Electric fan and heater available - Short walk away from city... This guesthouse was one of the worst places we've stayed at. The proprietor was rude and unhelpful, and made a production out of providing the car park we'd booked months in advance. Breakfast was advertised as continental but was toast, cereal and instant coffee in the lounge where the proprietor and family were watching TV loudly. Similarly, we were fine... More

I stayed here this weekend past with two of my friends. Both of the rooms we had were very clean and comfortable. The shared areas like bathroom and breakfast room were also very clean and tidy. The owner of the guesthouse was very friendly. It's brilliantly located - just a 10 minute walk from the center of Edinburgh and Haymarket... More

We went there (2 couples) just for one night. The place is nice, clean, the bathroom (in common) is renovated and clean. Continental breakfast a bit scarce, but good. The real good thing is that is really close to the center of Edinburgh, so that taking a bus you'll be there in 10 minutes, or just 20 m walking.

Upon arriving to the guesthouse there was limited parking which meant we had to park over the road in a private car park with the fear of being clamped. Although the guesthouse was ideal to walking to the city centre (roughly 20 mins) the guest house was a let down. The rooms were very small and basic. The tea and... More

Just came back from weekend off in Edinburgh, stayed in this "hotel". The whole place is very dirty. The owner of the place keep looking at you what you doing all the time, even if you going to the toilet which wasn't comfortable at all. Came down stairs in the morning for a breakfast which was very poor, all we... More

The guesthouse 10 minutes by foot from the city centre. Near the Haymarket train station and the stop of the airport bus. Friendly owner, very clean room and bathroom. Breakfast included. Near some markets( lidl and cooperative food). Bathroom is in common with the other guests.

Stayed here with 30 people for a hen weekend! The rooms were brilliant and a great size! The location was good as well, we paid no more than 8 pound for a taxi to go out at night in the centre but was between 8 people so great value really! Already talking about going back with a group of friends!... More
