This is second time I/we have stayed at this particular Premier Inn. First time by accident second time by design. On each occasion I, the wife arrived first and stayed on my own for the first few nights. The reception was sincere and welcoming, and the fact that the neither reception nor restaurant is at ground floor level makes for...

We have been there at the beginning of March. The hotel is located in the city centre. We arrived earlier than check in but Karolina was very happy to keep our luggages in the store room. In addition, we have been given a very nice room with a castle view. Very good experience!

Fantastic location for seeing the sights of Edinburgh. Smack in the heart of the West End and only a 10 minute walk from the castle and Royal Mile. We had a family room for 3 which was spacious and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed here from 6th to 10th of March, could not fault it. Staff were great, friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble. A special thanks to Chris on the front desk who was a star for help and information. The breakfast at the hotel was superb. The room at the front was great, be aware the traffic noise and late...

Good hotel within walking distance of Waverley Station and very handy for the tram and local buses which pass by frequently, though surprisingly the rooms are extremely quiet. We only had breakfast at the hotel but the food was good and plentiful, the rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and...

Great location in Edinburgh right on Princess Street but quiet and comfy night sleep in a huge bed. They kept our bags for us before check in and after check out. Friendly staff who went above and beyond for the group. Would definitely go back.

The hotel is close to shops, train station, bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and food in the restaurant was of good quality. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay there again. The only slight negative was that a 'twin' room consists of a double bed and a sofa bed rather than two single...

Our room was ready when we arrived which was fantastic as check in wasn't until 2. Room was spacious, bed was big and very comfy. Shower was powerful. In a really good location - within walking distance of all the main attractions and only a 2 minute walk to the bus and tram stop. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here on 6th march for one night. We arrived on an early train and went straight to the hotel to ask if we could drop our bags off. The receptionist was very friendly and took our bags, she said we would be able to have our room any time after 2pm. We arrived back at 3.30 and picked...

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighborhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
