What I liked: Our room was clean and updated in decor/furniture. Charming old classic Edinburgh building. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the shower had decent pressure. What I didn’t like: The street noise at night was excessive. Even though there are blackout curtains, light still comes in. The windows only open a couple of inches, so the room can get very stuffy. On our last night, there was a stench from outside that smelled like baby poo. The smell and noise combined made it difficult for us all to sleep. The T.V is tiny. There is no WI-FI (unless you pay). There is no hair dryer. I had to drip dry my hair on the first night and avoided washing it on the other nights as it was chilly for summer. No tissues. Only communal hand soap and body wash. No bath mat. Small room, so couldn’t open suitcases and no suitcase rack provided. About 5 coat hangers. No A/C and no fan. What’s actually provided doesn’t fit under a 3 star category, mostly 2 star according to the hospitality industry.

Room Tip: Parking is in the OMNI Center about a 1 km walk. There is no drop off at the front of the building.

Not the best place to stay only two sachets of sugar, no toilet roll what was there was only about two sheets and bin men came at 6.10am so what was supposed to be a romantic break was ruined. I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel had a poor level of service : - The bathroom is not maintained (bath with marks and mold). - There is no one during the day all the time at the reception : you need to call a phone number which is not convenient, especially when you have not an English phone. - The bed was noisy and the mattress not confortable. In addition, the storage of our suitcases for 3 hrs was refused the day of our arrival (we couldn’t leave it in the room since it was not ready). I was hoping a basic quality and service but a good maintenance and welcoming. The promise is not kept.

Reasonably clean and good location, but don't expect more. The rooms was rather small, which may be expected given the location - which is rather central with about 15mins walk to the royal mile with it's attractions. It was okay clean and modern enough - I've seen better and worse. The "breakfast" is not worth it, it's a box with some snacks in. There are good alternatives around. Do not rely on the room service - we put the "top me up" sign out and indeed we got new towels. But neither were the coffee capsules refilled nor the bin emptied. The bed was somewhat worn through but I've had worse. So all in all not bad, but nothing to write home about. Small changes could really improve the experience.

The central location of the hotel was ideal but the twin room allocated to me and my son was substandard. My bed was about 4 feet away from delivery lorries outside the back of the hotel and we were disturbed late at night and with deliveries at 5am and 6am. The room is too small for 2 adults with no room to unpack any clothes or sit comfortably. It was not good value for money and a very disappointing Travelodge.

Room was outdated. Paid for two singles and instead got a double and a pull out bed. As a male going with his mate for the United game at murrayfield, we didn't fancy sharing so I had to use the pull out bed which was very uncomfortable.

We arrived at the hotel at 14h and we asked to leave the suitcases so we could go to lunch before the check in at 15h. We were told that it was not possible but that since the room was ready we could leave them at the room for 10£. This has never happened to us at any other hotel before and seems that they’ll do anything to get extra money from you. Even wifi was an extra charge, can you believe paying for wifi in 2023? I will definitely not repeat with them. The hotel was ok, but the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner

If you’re focusing on saving finances and decent quality, this place is pretty good. It was very clean upon arrival. Only negative, it’s very small. We had a warm greeting from the front desk, they helped with any questions. Overall great experience.

This hotel is in a great location - removed from the bustling tourist areas but close enough to walk to everything in both the New Town and Old Town. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the staff is pleasant and helpful. There is only a small lobby but staff can print boarding passes if need be. I would suggest that for longer stays a small refrigerator in the room would be appreciated. As nice as the staff was, they were frequently away from the front desk. Also, WiFi is expensive and not reliable. Overall, a very nice stay. Thank you.
