Located in an excellent central location just a minute away from the Royal Mile. These apartments were good but my goodness ours was in need of repair. Overall it had a tatty appearance which could be well sorted with a coat of paint and some repairs. Our apartment had; 1 A broken window lock. 2. Dirty walls in both bedrooms....

Nice and very clean studio apartment with a very comfortable bed. Helpful staff. We would have liked to find paper towels in the kitchen and more than one kitchen towel. Helpful and nice staff at the reception. We recommend this place because it's not far from the city centre ( hardly a 10 minute-walk), there is a Tesco Express supermarket...

Just off the Royal Mile and near Holyrood Palace and the Parliament. Quick break away for a few night so within easy walk for many of the sights. Not too far to Princes Street and the sights there too. Cheap for the quality of the apartment - washing machine, dishwasher (with tablets), fridge (with a pint of milk) and good...

We stayed at the aparthotel as part of a weekend away in the city, first impressions were not take your breath away but don't let that put you off, a clean hotel with informative and attentive. The room was small yet well equipped, a small bed however did hamper as I'm 6ft 3 and do take up some room. The...

Warm welcome from happy staff. Lovely studio apartment that was very clean and had lots of space. Comfortable bed, great heating/air con system with controls, powerful shower and no noise. Ticked a lot of boxes. I was also able to leave my luggage with reception the next morning so I could go and climb Arthurs Seat.

Party of 3, stayed for 6 nights in January 2017. They were filming the next series of "Outlander" in Nether Bakehouse on the first night we were there, and despite misgivings, this did not cause any problems either that night or any subsequent nights (they took forever the tear down the set). Apartment was well set up and beds were...

This is the 3rd stay here and it still amazes me of what you get for the price per night. The bathroom in this room (204) could do with a little work by renewing the silicone seal around the bath and sink unit as they are showing signs of age now with a little (I mean little) bit of mildew...

Stayed here for one night during February. The standard studio apartment had a bedroom area and kitchen area, with full bathroom. The bedroom had a comfy kingsize bed, large flatscreen TV on the wall, fitted wardrobes with iron/ironing board and safe. We had a problem with the remote on the tv and dialled reception and the lady ran up the...

We recently stayed in an apartment at this aparthotel. It is at 15 min walking distance from Waverley train station and near the Holyrood Palace and the Parliament House. A bit far although at walking distance from the Edinburgh Castle. The apartment was very spacious, with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms/showers, besides a small living room and a dining/kitchenette...

I like the apartment hotel format of a place to stay when I want something simple and good value. This is smoothly run. Good quality bed/living room / kitchen + bathroom. Good value. Short walk in to the centre of town.

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
