I cannot fault anything about this hotel, the room was clean, the service was excellent and the staff were absolutely brilliant. I cant understand why this hotel has any bad reviews, maybe because people do not take time out to converse, we had a fantastic time and really got to know the staff i will stay in this hotel every...

We arrived tired after a long drive to be greeted by...no one. Minutes after we rang the service bell a young guy arrived to check is in. For an additional fee of 5% to use our credit card (!) we paid up and lugged our luggage up two flights of stairs through five different sets of narrow fire doors, a...

Had seen all the poor reviews for this hotel but I'm sure they can't be for the Northumberland because I stayed there for two nights and wouldn't hesitate to make a return visit. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable; all facilities worked well, tea/coffee available in room and good cheap wifi. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the...

One of the real tests of a good or poor hotel is whether or not the hotel is focussed on its own needs, or focussed on the needs of its guests. I am firmly of the opinion that this hotel is not focussed on the needs of its guests. Consider the following points:- 1. Breakfast is only served from 8.00...

I have to say my friends and I were a bit apprehensive about staying here as we only read reviews after booking. Sadly we found ourselves travelling to Edinburgh for an unexpected funeral and it was very difficult to get rooms at this busy time of year to enable us to stay in the same hotel. The rooms were clean,...

I stayed here with my son while he visited the University. Having looked at large numbers of possible hotels I finally chose this one as it had looked close to the campus had free parking, free WiFi and seemed to include breakfast. They quoted £100 for a twin room B and B but when I came to pay online it...
