I didn't realise how busy Edinburgh was in mid February until we started looking for a place to stay. After seeing several " No vacancy" signs we tried here. The proprietor, Javed, who is a really nice guy, explained they were opening the next day but agreed to open up for us. The room was clean and had everything required...

We stayed here over New Year and were a little sceptical after reading the reviews on here. It was everything you'd want from a guest house. Our room and bathroom were clean, warm and large enough for the two of us. We got fresh towels everyday and our room freshened. It is about 20 mins walk to the city centre...

It's seems as though there are mixed reviews on here but you need to understand that you basically have two choices A overcrowded city centre high street hotel or something slightly out of town. This hotel/ B&B we have found to be great and fulfilled all our needs. The price for 3 nights was an absolute bargain. It consists of...

Not a particularly nice hotel to visit. The room that my partner and I had was room 7. The room and bathroom were not particularly clean. It was stupidly small and the bedding didn't smell fresh, also the net curtains (yes nets in 2016) were too short for the window, and the tea bags in the room were out of...

We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Edinburgh. We had read some of the reviews so we were a little sceptical about it after booking but we needn't have worried. Our room was almost palatial in sizecompared to many of your run-of-mill, squeeze them in tight rooms that you get in your big chain hotels. It was...

Well located close to Edinburgh city centre. Provided all we needed for a good night's sleep. Comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Excellent bathroom. Flat screen tv. Basic but perfectly acceptable for price we paid. The bathroom had beautiful shower and under floor heating. The bedroom appeared mid modernisation. Beautiful antique ceiling. Clean and comfortable. Free parking and walkable to city centre....

We've been going to The Thrums for a few years now when we visit the Fringe. Sorry Thrums but we won't be back. Very poor this year. Mattresses need changed, shelf in bathroom fell off the wall, water in shower didn't run away, TV didn't have good reception, we didn't get a choice for breakfast the first morning and when...

Can't rate the B&B, all I can rate is customer care because we never got to stay in the room we booked because when we arrived our room had been given to someone else. We had booked 4 months earlier because we liked this typical Scottish B&B and it had all we needed and was within walking distance from the...

Staff very nice. Location very good. Free WiFi. Rooms drab, dirty and many faults: secondary double-glazing fixed in wrong tracks so jammed, toilet brush with no handle, no shampoo in shower dispenser, lumpy bed, curtains off their tracks, floor behind toilet bowl never been cleaned (wretch), dirty linen, cheap towels, TV facilities vary between rooms. Hot Breakfast IS NOT INCLUDED...
