My wife and I stayed in The Rutland Apartments for the weekend for her 30th Birthday. It’s was one one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The apartment was a really good size and pure luxury. Location was bang on and staff were lovely. High recommend and would stay again if return to Edinburgh. Thank you.

We stayed at the Rutland Hotel for a joint birthday/Xmas present. We've stayed at the hotel before and we were again super impressed with the hotel and its staff. The only slight criticism is that the doors to some of the rooms can have a hefty slam to them which can be especially heard during the wee hours but that's all as everything else is top notch. We also highly recommend the breakfast next door at the Huxley, sets you up nicely for the rest of the day!

We had such a great time at The Rutland. The room was excellent and the customer service from before we arrived and throughout our visit was second to none! The room was so lovely and we loved chilling out listening to music on the comfy chairs with a glass of prosecco. Drinks at The Huxley is a must as well! Some great drinks and cocktails on offer and it's such a lovely place to spend an afternoon or evening in.

I had booked regularly with this hotel however my trip was called off due to the pandemic however the staff refused to waive any part of the cost or to change dates to known available dates, their attitude was a little contemptuous, the value of a single booking mattered more than me continuing to stay at this hotel in the future, also breakfast here is average & overpriced for what it is

Hi K6198XTandyj, Please allow me to apologise for what can only be a misunderstanding. Ever since the start of the pandemic, at the time of the first lockdown in March 2020, we have never denied date changes or even refunds, when necessary, when our guests are unable to arrive at our hotel due to COVID-19. Previous reviews from around that time, on this very page, will note that our decisions have always been to help our guests, considering this situation is out of everyone's control. Having double checked with the hotel team, there is no record of denying a date change or refund, and I was also not asked to speak to any of our guests regarding such matter. If you would like to please contact me directly, by email, at bruno.marques@therutlandhotel.com , and I can ensure you I will look into this situation and rectify it immediately. I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Bruno

Spent the weekend in the hotel with beautiful interior and extremely helpful staff, doing their utmost to book us into various restaurant and cocktail bars during a busy time of the year. Can definitely recommend as also right in the West End, close to the Castle, shopping, cinema and theatre.
