Don’t really know where to begin.. it was our first time staying at The Scotsman, it was way better than perfect! Staff were helpful and friendly, they even let me leave my baggage after my stay which was very helpful and kind, the breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious, the room was way beyond good, mini bar fully loaded, tv, speaker in the room and the bathroom, rainfall shower and a comfy king size bed!! The Hotel is very close to town and all the facilities which makes it so much easier. Definitely enjoyed the stay and surely will be back soon!! Thank you everyone for your hard work :)

We came home for a 3 day stay & booked the iconic ‘Scotsman’ - an excellent stay, beautiful clean room, with everything you need in terms of space etc. fantastic breakfasts with local produce & superb attentive staff. What more could you need, The Scotsman is well appointed for walking & finding your way around the city. North Bridge is undergoing some restoration so can be a little congested. The Grand Cafe will open soon - hopefully July which will only add to this magnificent hotel in the ♥️ of the city.

The hotel is nice, service decent, rooms clean and tidy and location is great. It's very handy for the train station. I would add the concierge is a real gent, friendly straight forward advice ( best one so far in Edinburgh) . The menu for the hide bar is limited, and we didn't end up in the hide bar, but in another function room as it was closed, so not 100% but as mentioned it's a great hotel. If you can get the hotel at the right price is great.

Central location, great staff and a gorgeous, spacious bedroom with a super-king bed (we stayed in a deluxe double). Unfortunately our stay was let down by the tiny bathroom and very limited on site dining options (presumably impacted by covid).

I booked to stay at the Scotsman for a birthday weekend for my partner, having seen great photos online of the spa and pool area. We arrived and it’s clear the hotel has gone through a refurbishment since I last visited, however very disappointing to still see the pool photos advertised online only to arrive here and be told the pool hasn’t been here for the last 6-years. This has surely got to be false advertising. After a five hour drive to get here and my wallet £483 lighter, the only word I can use to describe this hotel is… disappointing! Staff are very pleasant and this is no reflection on them, however for the price I just cannot see how these prices are justified.
