The staff were very friendly and attentive, every public room had a log fire making it very cosy and very easy to find a quiet corner to relax in. The food was exceptional, but what really mad out stay were the small touches. The Champagne in our room, the horned highland cows and peacocks wondering around the grounds and reindeer...

A return trip for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary and this place really does not disappoint. From check-in to dinner, to breakfast, etc the staff are wonderful, the surroundings simply stunning and the quality of the food and drinks take some beating. We couldn't fault it and can't wait to return. Thank you to all at...

A truly colorful hotel that at any other location could appear as way too kitschy but in Scotland it is spot on. Very exclusive feel, friendly service and a lovely breakfast buffet. I missed a gym but that was compensated by some nice runs around the neighborhood. I would love to see that the Prestonfield hotel would take some further...

We had a wonderful wedding day here for our daughter and it could not have been better or friendlier. Beautiful, quirky place. All the staff so helpful and lovely. Peacocks on the lawn, cattle in the fields in the drive up to the hotel. It is in the centre of Edinburgh but once in the grounds, you could think you...

Amazing hotel in Edinburgh, everything is no trouble, there are peacocks, highland cows that are the owners pets. Rooms are amazing, food is too definitely 5*. This one place that you wont forget or regret.

On arrival we were hustled into a side room, which seemed somewhat dusty and dark. On enquiry we were told that we could have the bar menu, nothing else was recommended. The food was pretty awful; my friend's fish pie was full of large bones and was accompanied by hard veg. My Ploughman's was obviously the dried up cheese of...

We had the most fabulous weekend in Edinburgh made extra special by the Prestonfield Hotel. Would highly recommend for a luxurious retreat. We felt totally spoilt by both our kids, who gave us the weekend as a Ruby anniversary present, and the amazing staff at the hotel. Thank you, we will be back!

From the peacocks strutting on the lawn to the amazing food and service, it's all perfect. Our room was incredible, I honestly felt like royalty for the day! Highly recommend having after dinner drinks in the lounge above the front door... there was a roaring fire and huge sofas. Wonderful.

I attended the taste of Scotland show and dinner during the Edinburgh festival in August of this year. The show and dinner were excellent. The food and service throughout was above reproach. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh as the show is a true taste of what Scotland has to offer.

We were so looking forward to our stay, hoping for some Edinburgh sophistication, but sadly we felt very let down-maybe we were just unlucky? The good points are they have great staff and are genuinely dog friendly, our Doodle was very happy here. Yes it is a bit dark and quirky, but that wasn't the problem. On our first night we had...
